Hey my CEL came on after I installed my Fujita CAI on my 07 tC I unplugged the battery after once to reset the ECU and after I plugged it back in once the ECU had reset itself a little bit after that the CEL came back on. What should I do keep resetting it a couple of times or get the car tuned???

Reseat the MAF(Take out the screws, remove the MAF and Put it back on). Make sure its in there tight but dont break it.

Other than that theres not much you can do. Mine comes on sometimes but if i just leave it, it turns into a pending code which shuts off the CEL.

Thanks, but I was reading somewhere on the forms that someone else had the same problem with a 08 tc and they just reset the ecu a couple of times and then it went away but I don't know if it came back on or not after?

That might have been me seeing how i have posted about it, i own an 08, and i have a fujita intake on it. Resetting the ecu does work, but it usually comes back on after.

Also, i noticed that it comes on after i drive the car hard. So i know youre all giddy about the sounds that it makes but try driving normally and see what happens.

if you take the engine cover off the top there should be a rubber hose that goes from the intake to a little inlet on the right side of the valve cover.

This is what i was talking about. It is regustered in your ecu as a "pending" code. This means that the ecu has a record of it but it currsntly isn't causing any problems. Most OBDII readers wont pick up these pending codes but if you find a nuce one or go to the dealer they will see it.

dont forget, there is also a very small (3/8" line) that connects to your fuel pressure vaccum line... i have problems with that one on my fujita CAI all the time... so that might be your issue

I honestly believe that go4shoped is right about that part about the ecu setting it as a pending code, but the line that connects from the intake to the end on the engine next to the spark plugs under the engine cover
is too long and I have to buy a new one which is shorter.

Along with tightening the maf sensor, make sure the couplings are nice and tight and haven't shaken themselves free. That was my problem when I installed the fujita on my 08, but after i had read some articles on other boards about the maf's reading and your afr's not lining up due to loose couplings letting air in behind the sensor I decided to take a look. Sure enough I found my throttle body coupling was slightly loose, tightened it down, and no more CEL for 4k miles of driving.
