Does anyone else have a rattle in the hatch area???

I have the Factory Spoiler and Subs in the Hatch Area, but it doesnt seem to be the Spoiler thats loose. I was just wondering if anyone else has the problem, especially on cold mornings, and is it covered by warranty???

I would assume that the dealers would blame it on Sound Pressure. Any Thoughts would b great :)

Double check your spare tire make sure the plastic wheel that holds it down is tight. Mine did that too. I would also check your panels make sure they are all good and secure. It could be anything. Do you have sound deadening?

"Technical Service Bulletin" and not "recall." is what I found on tsb

Here are the most relevant TSB's for the Scion tC....

AC Vent Replacement
Rear Hatch Rattle
A/C Slow Cool Down
CEL "On"
Shift Lever Replacement
Popping Sunroof

I just took mine to the dealer for the 3rd time the other day and they finally fixed it with the TSB. So you might want to get the number of the TSB and then go show them bc my dealer had no idea it was out until i showed them

Well........I took mine to the dealership for the hatch problem, and they said that it was coming from my suspension area and it was not under warranty because I altered my springs with Tein Lowering Springs.

I have an appointment with the Performance Shop that put them on tomorrow. Although, I have had them for 2 years now :(

I'll keep everyone updated !!!

I KNOW WHAT THIS PROBLEM IS

this was when this problem was huge!!!
its not in the hatch, its under the headliner
in the back there are gills under the headliner to help it keep a rounded shape, they get loose after awhile. i just started having this problem and i have a cf hatch.

ive heard ppl using foam that you can get at a fabric store and placing it on the roof side of the gill and the headliner.

Well....The performance shop said that everything was OK with the suspension and/or Tein Lowering Springs.

I guess its back to the dealership for some more Verbal Communication :deadhorse:

well hey i popped open my drunk and just started hitting it to see where the sound was coming from and come to find out its coming right about the heat shield where the exhaust used to be so i tapped it and its making a noise like something is on top of it so i beat the shit out of it and nothing came out and its still doing it so idk.

I FOUND IT!! Yesterday, after being pissed off about the 2 dealerships, I broke down and started searching.

It is the Hatch Bumpstop. I basically put some double stick tape over the top of the bottom bumpstop, and it got better. After a couple of layers on the right side only, it stopped rattling.

I'll try and take pics later to show everyone. Its just a temporary fix for now, until I can go back to the Scion Dealer and Rise Hell for them to fix it!!!

Thanks for all the Help :) :) :)
