the 2005-2006 kit needs the top of the stock airbox, the kit only replaces the bottom.

i thought that the new 2007+ kit came with a whole new airbox but im not sure

A Supercharger on an Auto tC is worthless. For the Auto, turbo is the only way to actually gain some decent power from the Auto tranny. A S/C'er for the 07 cost just as much as for you to have a cutom turbo fabed up.

i wouldnt call s/c on the auto worthless, though i didnt spend near the 3k on it with installation. mine is def worth what i paid for it, im very happy, especially with the warrenty i get with it, i dont have the luxury of an extra car if i gotta fix something and cant drive it.

Warranty huh? I hope you have an understanding dealership, as I have seen guys with completely Stock S/C'ers get denied warranty work when they have a problem. The warranty is not all it's cooked up to be, when you are located near a dealership that likes to get paid to do work. I believe they told the guy with the stock S/Cer (blew his motor, so thats why he was going in), that his car was low on oil. NO, Really, you think? Seeing as how he spilt quarts of it on the road after the motor blew. They try to find every reason to not warranty your stuff.

By they way, saying that an Auto S/Cer was worthless was merely based on if an Auto S/Cer raced a 5 speed tC with so little as an exhaust on it, he would be right next to you if not beat you.

yes, warrenty. not all dealerships are like that.

and i would be the first to say that if all your looking for is to beat the next person then don't get the supercharger, and to a further point dont even have a tC.

and i have beaten a 5speed at the track with an exhaust :ponder:
and he beat another 5speed who beat me :ponder:
but i had some issues that were easily fix under this warrenty and havent been back out yet.

The tC holds it's own when you add F/I to it, as far as "don't get one if you are looking to beat a few people".

I didn't say you couldn't beat a 5spd tC, I was just saying, for the money the normal person pays for the S/C'er, if they have an Auto tC, they spent all that money vs a person who just bought a 5spd version of the tC.

What did you run at the track in an Auto S/C'er? 1/8th mile or 1/4 mile?

its was an 1/8th track.
i dont remember the times or specifics i was only there cause my friends wanted to run and i just go to have fun, wether i beat anybody isn't important to me. frankly i still suck at it

im only stating my opinion along side yours, to me in my purchase is really worth it and the warrenty isnt a piece of crap. and that if you just want gains without worring your better off with a turbo

The S/C'er is no more reliable than a turbo kit is, just different people work on it when you have a problem. Like I said though, depends on the dealership you take your car too. If they aren't shady, then you will be ok, but 5 out of 10 dealers try to make up an excuse to NOT honor your warranty.

You said you got the S/Cer for less money though, so your purchase probably was a good buy.

i know the reliability standpoint is basically the same each way.
however with the warrenty, repairs and rentals i dont have to pay for it out of pocket.

with everything done it was only maybe 2.5k at the most, for me to do it now would be even cheaper if you have an 05-06
