I did a search and all I can find is stuff for tc's. How do you shut the first generation xB light off? Thanks much in advance!

Turn the key to the "ON" position. Make sure your odometer is reading your actually mileage and not the trip mileage. Press and hold the little black button knob thing on the odometer and turn vehicle off. While still holding the button put it back in the "ON" position and continue holding. You will see the mileage turn into little blinking dashes. It will then turn to all 0's and go back to your mileage. Let the button go. The end.
