looks nice from the outside, but looks a little hazardous with all those wires under the mat... might want to zip tie and clean up.

Hahaha, it looks messy, but it actually is pretty clean for the amount of wires in there. Zip ties are a pretty good call though . . . .

Any time you have a system you are going to have a spaheti bowl full of wires. It will look messy no matter what. The secret is to hide the wires some way. Looks like you did a really good job of that. The only suggestion I have for ya, because I have made this mistake, is to run the RCA's away from the power. If you have them laying on top of the power or up next to it you risk getting alternator noise. Good job brotha

I tried and tried to route them so they didn't cross, but there is no easy way to do it without making the wires very long. To cope I purchased shielded RCAs, because there was no way to avoid running them across the power. The key is that if you have to cross wires, do it orthoganally.

Looks good, Eddie.... That IS a lot of wiring though....

Mine's wired much cleaner.... BUT i've only got an amp and 2 subs, not a 4-channel amp with runs to all 4 speakers.

Yah, mine is goofy I have:

0 Guage Stinger into a splitter into two 4 guage power wires
2 ground wires
4 sets of speaker wire
1 set of sub wire
3 pairs of RCAs
2 remote wires

And looking at the picture again I think it looks worse than it is because it reflects off the RAAMATT almost making it look like double :P

Advice noted, i will clean up the wires so everyone is happy :P

Yeah the reflection doesn't help lol. I have everything stealthed in my setup though. Hiding and organizing wires helps so much in the future.

yeah iowa city is a great place, lots to do and a lot of culture. The unviersity is a great place and i read this earlier today when trying to find the populations

Iowa City is tied with Stamford, Connecticut, for the US metropolitan area with the highest percentage of the adult population holding a bachelor's degree or higher; 44 percent of adults hold a degree. (US Dept of Commerce @ www.census.gov)

Wow, ONLY 44% have bachelor's degrees?

In Ames, 58.6% of the population over 25 has a bachelor's. :md:

Did you understand that, or do I need to speak slower? :smartass: :P

Cr has about 125K, but if you include all the suburbs (Marion, Hiawatha, Robins) you are close to about 225K.

Iowa State is #3 in the nation for engineering (only behind MIT and Purdue) last time I checked. Thats where I received my degree in Aerospace engineering. I think some of the comments above may be misleading as Ames population is about 30K, but nearly doubles when school is in session. Iowa has a much higher population which isn't affected by school in session as much. It also has a lot of hospitals/medical programs which allows quite a bit of degress to hang around too. Iowa is more known for their liberal arts and medical programs, and kind of has a rep around here for the Gay/Les population. If you are down with the liberal thing stay away from Iowa State, you will get beat by all the hicks there.

Either way it seems to be quite the controvery around here, not being from this state I don't really care about the inner state fights over school pride, its generally pretty asinine to me.

The link I used was www.census.gov

If 40% of statistics are made up, maybe you made up that statistic. That makes ya think.
