k, we all know what the gas pump does when the tank is full, it stops pumping and the trigger for the pump resets

ok, while filling my tank it acts as if tank is full the whole time so it takes forever to fill the tank, it started about 3 months ago and i can't figure out why it does it, but another person with a xb has the same problem, anybody else with this problem? or a fix? it happens with all gas pumps

read this : http://howthingswork.virginia.edu/page1.php?QNum=1187

Then try to figure out if theres any mods or other circumstances that may be causing it.

There's a TSB (Toyota Service Bulletin) for that. Go in to your dealer, tell him the problem, tell him there is a TSB for is and tell him you want it fixed. I got mine done and it made a huge difference. Now I can set it and forget it like your supposed to. :)

Mines used to do it but it stopped as sudden as when it started....but i do notice that when i leave the car running while I pump the gas that it does almost stall out. I guess it starves the pick up tube or something. Yes i said leave it running I have kids now they need A/C!

You can actually get it fixed for free though Stevo, just take it to the dealer. There's a TSB out on it.
