hi guys im looking at gettin a new set of rims. I currently own tenzo gf7's and i have had nothing but problems with them. I had one bend on me REALLY bend i should say, so i had it fixed. In the process i figred id get some fresh tires, so i ordered new pirelli tires. All is good until yesterday when i went to get them installed, the installer noticed that 2 additional tires had bends on the inside which he said was going to spread over time and get as bad as the new one. I was upset but i figured its better to get new rims rather than deal with this issue... My only delema is that i have brand spanking new tires still packaged up for these tires. They are 225/40-18. I wanted to get some advice from you guys as far as getting new rims to fit these tires. I was looking at the Axis Matrix but the one thing i dont understand is that the Tenzos were 18-7.5 while these are 18-8.0. the tire size is the same though, im not sure if the 7.5 and the 8.0 make a difference in where i cant get them onto the new tires.
Please help lol
Thanks guys

those tires will fit an 8 offset and there shouldn't be a problem on your car.

I have same size tires on my tC...they will fit on 7.5 or 8 offset, you shouldn't have a problem.

My top suggestions are Enkei, Axis, SportMax (XXR) or Motegi. I have seen people have those rim companies on their vehicle for sometime with no problems.

I have Enkei and really like them...but my new rims I want are Rotas...really good wheel, very expensive though depending what you want.

xxr's are def great and so are rotas
i think on a 225 tires you can fit up to a 9in wide wheel no problem at all
so an 8in wide wheel will work fine :)

Quoted for truth and the only brand that you mentioned worth mentioning.
We carry the entire Enkei lineup and can offer AWESOME pricing. PM me for hook ups!!

Search Honda tech for an old thread regarding a guy that hit a curb and see what happened to that Rota. :Elephant:

I've heard Konig's crack easy...
One of my Tenzos are cracked too. Makes me sad cause I'd only had them a month when I found it. But not too bad for being the third owner.
As far as tire fitment, I'm ordering new rims and tires Friday. I plan on running 205/45s on 8" rims. Stretch the tire! Nitto says the max width is 7.5", so it's nothing major.
And, as far as the Rotas, what do you expect? He hit a CURB! Thats like saying MAE makes cheap wheels because Yellow_Sub did this when he hit a curb:

Yeah, Work makes good rims. I just can't put that much money into rims. I'd much rather roll stock wheels and boost.

I rocked a set of SSRs that bent super easy from literally nothing at all. So I went sour on a lot of brands and see friend's rides look like trash after having Konigs or whatever fall apart after 3 months of use. I switched to Enkei RP03 and never looked back.
