Hey people, I have been showing people in the Minneapolis Chapter my wheel rebuild and I thought I'd share this with the whole club.
Please look through the thread, post any comments or questions you have in here and enjoy.
Like the thread says, I have purchased used wheels, powdercoated them, and purchased brand new custom made deep lips. I will begin reassembly this weekend and post up many more pics.

Alright! Got the correct hardware and got one wheel bolted together last night!
These things are a bitch to bolt together and when I'm done I'm gonna have forearms like Popeye or something.
There are 30 bolts per wheel. First I had to snug them criss cross pattern-style. Then I had to go around the whole bolt circle 3 times to get the lip seated right. After that I had to go over all of the bolts again with a torque wrench.
Here are the pics......

And here is what happens when my friend was bent over holding the wheel for too long while I was tightening the bolts.

Here is another finished pic along with a couple pics of the sealant applied. I will be mounting tires in about a month and then throwing them on the car for the All Scion Show in May.

I built these wheels for several reasons....
1. I absolutley LOVE the way they look.
2. I have yet to see a set like this on an xB. I have seen similar onces, but nothing this color or this deep.
3. Should I ever want to sell them, I have seen used sets of these wheels rebuilt the way I have done them sell for twice what I have into them.
I look at it as an investment. :mro:

And I ordered tires today. I took it down a couple notches on the agresso-meter and bought tires that still had some grip, but will wear a lot better.
I ordered up some Falken Ziex ZE-912's

If it were up to me they would be on there already but being in MN there is still salt and snow on the roads. They probably won't be on my car until the end of March.
Edit: Of course I will probably throw on a pair of them in the garage to get a look at them myself. If that happens, I will of course show everyone.
