I had one on my xA and it sounded nice and mellow. I haven't decided about my xD yet, but ANYTHING would be better than that POS the factory put on it, regardless of how it sounds! BTW, check here for your parts. Great service! http://www.trdsparks.com/displayparts.php?Mdl_dtl=586&Part_cat=2&parts_id=1796

The TRD exhausts generally have a good tone to them. Remember, thousands of people will be buying this product so Scion wants to make sure it appeals to a majority of them. I believe the TRD exhaust for the tC is a Borla unit and sounds really nice. Not sure if TRD uses Borla for the other models, but it should sound much better than the factory muffler.

I have it on my xd and I was really scared it was going to sound too ricer, but I was very pleased with the sound its not real loud but when you put your foot in it, it sounds far from stock!

I just installed the TRD exhaust on my new xD, I have the stick shift and I could not hear the stock exhaust with the radio on. I can now hear when to shift with the radio on. Nice deep tone to it, at idle almost sounds stock. Really looks good from the back end, unlike the stock pos that had to many bends. Was very easy to install as well, dont let the dealer rip you off if you decide to go that way, unless you think the stainless will wear out(it wont).
