I dont know if there is a thread already on here about this; if so please direct meee.....
But i just changed my license plates from georgia---to maryland today; and they gave me two tags..One front;one rear...Well obviously in ga you only need tags on the rear.
Is there anyway around drilling holes in the front bumper..:icon_yu: im really not tryna do that.
I found this @ ptuning...but idk if anyone has tried it. http://www.ptuning.com/html/Item-Desc.cfm?PartNo=PTPEXT1001&MakeCode=scion&ModelCode=tC&ModelYear=2005%2D2010%20All&ModelDesc=tC
So if someone has an alternative or what they've done; feedback would be appreciated
thanks!

I like my P-Tuning license plate bracket. At least I don't have to have holes in my bumper. It's better than getting screwed with more tickets... I've gotten one ticket and it was $75. This thing only costs $70, but it's a one-time fee.

There's an 8 dollar license plate bracket that is made by a company called Bell. Autozone/Pepboys carry it and to be honest it actually turned out to my liking. I drove for 2 yrs without a front plate until recently when I was pulled over. Can't really see from pic but you can see how it sits...its adjustable.

if you wanna go with clean and no holes at all do the ptunning bracket... that was my first actual "mod"... It looks good, not many people have them, so it sets you out from the crowd... I love mine... and if you want to go with no front plate you just unscrew it throw it in the trunk and put the hole cover back on and voila, you are back to a clean bumper for car shows.... ;)

I offset mine to the left and have gotten numerous compliments on it from the tuner crowd. When I'm at the gas station, almost every time, someone will look, haha!

I'm going to fill in the holes I have on my tC and have a vinyl made of my license plate.

If the tabs on your old plate aren't expired, just put the old plate back on the rear until you get the ptuning one in the mail.

I made my own bracket using a tow hook I picked up at a salvage yard and a plate mount at O'Reilly. Works just the same and was 1/4 of the price!

How does the ptuning bracket mount without having to screw into anything? I'm very curious. Just trying to figure out the difference between that and mine.

yeah the old tags expired in june...so all i have now are the new tags..I put the front one in the window and just put the rear in the rear..But i shouldn't have any problems though. I drove past, and around many cops today lol..either they were too busy eating donuts or they didnt care(no one pulled me over)

It screws in the the toe hook mount... and at the end of the toe hook it is flat with a hole in it for a screw... you place the license plate bracket on the toe hook piece and teh screw attatches the bracket to thier flattened off toe hook... does that help?

Yep, then you can just take a wrench and unscrew it when you don't want it on. Just pop the circular bumper panel back on and viola, it was never there!

Yep, I would highly suggest getting a plastic bag and putting it over the screwdriver first. I think I actually used a knife or something myself. That way you don't scratch the paint. Then there is a little plastic cord that keeps it on. You'll have to cut it off with scissors or something.

No you are fine... it leaves a little gap and doesnt touch the bumper at all... so you got it right...

That's correct. At first I wasn't sure how much I liked it, but if it weren't for that gap, your bumper would be torn up by the bolts on the back of the plate and you wouldn't be able to tighten/loosen it from the bumper.
