View Full Version : Going the way of the dodo?

I've had a lot of various crap going on in my life from the start of a 2nd job combined with a 7 day a week work schedule, to myself and the love of my life getting more serious... I just really honestly truly have very little time left to do meets and what not.

On that same note, I just sent a text message on my phone out to all the people affiliated (whether they still are or not I have no idea) with Scikotics. I'm basically stepping back.
This decision is multi-fold:
*Lots of ideas and encouragement, but very little assistance or participation in trying to get things off the ground.
*People getting mad and leaving the club, but not giving me any indication of what I could do differently to keep them until they're already gone
*My car STILL not being repaired yet
*The above mentioned work schedule
*The above mentioned love life
*My realization of how my time NEEDS to be spent, regardless of what I'd rather DESIRE to be doing at any given time
*Some overall frustrations
*Time demands

No individual is to blame. I took on the second job to better be able to support my household and pay for increased gas prices, insurance, expenses, etc and there just aren't enough hours in the day. (Maybe if I were on mars, right? 30 something hour days I think...???)

This is more of a "I just don't have time, but maybe I'll see you all around." I just got in over my head, and I finally came to that realization today.

By the way, I have no web access besides that at my work at the current time and access to it here is very limited...

And if someone manages to hang on to some shred of Scikotics and keep it going, I'll happily show whenever I can.

My best to all of you!

The thing about all of this, is that we already knew BRAD was having problems and was even trying to resign from the HMFIC position.

I understand your situation, bro. and I hope everything turns out well for you.
Take Care

Sorry to see you go Brad. You are still a Scikotic though. Just not a very active member at the moment.

Post your name on the roll call thread. Jon says to PM sheep, the HMFIC for Seattle.

Hopefully the chapter will get some new blood running through it so that mattvs isn't all alone. Post up and stay connected. Welcome to Scikotics!
