I am gonna order my rims in the next few days and wanted some input, please!
I have a 06.5 Blue Onyx Pearl xB that will be lowered around 1.5 inches in January. Either with TRD, Goldline, Megan or H/S Tein springs.
Now then, The rims are gonna be either 15, 16 or 17" and the style is still be decided. I like photo "A" in bronze...and Photo "B" in Gun metal or Hyperblack.
Any thoughts? Do you see these on xBs? Have any other suggestions? Advice? Help?
I have a bunch of other goodies on the way and these rims need to be the icing on the cake!

BOP I would go with either a chrome or a bright gold wheel... not a fan of bronze or flat silver

What about the style? And the brand? Is Azul good?
ROFL Box

honestly i have never delt with the brand...
but
the wheel looks awesome

Bronze would look the best if its more of a gold bronze..
And in those rim styles bigger is better.
If your gonna go small like 15 have to go with more of a old school looking rim in my opinion.

those in a 17 would be perfect...
just big enough to look good and still with enough tire (215/45/17) for a comfortable ride

This all sounds very wise. Thanks Don & Keith! I am new at this. My experience is with GM muscle cars. I am not wanting to build show stopper...but something that represents Scikotics (and myself as H of a chapter) well. LOL
This is on order now:
Custom front grill
Oznium Interior Blue LEDs
Megan Strut bar in Blue
and some more Scion OEM interior parts.
This what I already have done:
TYC Tails
OBX Racing Pedals
Scion Arm Rest
Key Techniques Keyhole Plugs
Rear Tinted Tag Cover
5% Tint
Debadge the Rear Hatch
Scion Carpeted Floor Mats
And this is what is planned for January/Febraury:
Interior Mods - (Classified)
Scion Door Sills - Polished
Lowering Springs - 1.5" KillerGlass - Blue
Under Hood Accents
So, it is time for the RIMS!!! Any help is much appreciated.

bright gold would be hot

they are a really cheap tire... so your gonna go through them in about 15k miles...
But those are what I ran on my 20s... and were just fine..
FYI... your size should be 215/45/17
scionxb.org
12-14-2007, 12:13 AM
Thanks for that info.
They have listed:
205/40/17 ??????

the 45 series is .1 inch bigger in diameter, meaning that your speedo will read under by 2mph
the 40 series is .7 inch smaller... meaning that your speedo will read over by 6mph

WoW! That does make a difference. What about gas mileage? Will I loose a lot?

No - I wouldn't do chrome on blue unless you have some other white or silver accents to go on the box...
scionxb.org
12-14-2007, 12:46 AM
I have no chrome features on it, nor is anything I am buying so far. I like a darker look. The custom grill is carbon fiber that may be painted to match the BOP.
The TYC tails have black trim and the rest of the goodies on it is dark.
Tim, can you see the rims posted?

I can see pics if they're directly posted to the site, so I can see the rims, yes...

Well, I want to thank everyone for their input and helping me with understand the rims world a little bit more.
After much searching and discussion, I have decided to return the love I had from my GM muscle car days. This means that after all of the searching...
...I have ordered CenterLine Wheels! They not be the aluminum shown in the photo, but that is the exact rim...just in the Black Pearl color.
17.0 x 7.0 black pearl forged wheel
+42mm - offset / 4X100mm
1 - Piece, Billet Aluminum
Rotary Forged
http://www.centerlinewheels.com/images/wheel_deals/431_VANTAGE%20SILVER_hi_451x421.jpg
Q: Where are the wheels manufactured?
A: Center Line is proud to have manufactured its wheels in the USA in Santa Fe Springs, California, for over 30 years.
Q: How is a rotary forged wheel manufactured?
A: Center Line has designed a rotary forging press, the only one of its kind in the world, to compress a solid billet of aluminum with 4,000 tons of force, at 300 revolutions per minute. Not only does this process rearrange the aluminum molecules, but it also aligns them in a circular pattern thereby adding strength. As a result, the rotary forged wheel has a much tighter grain structure and is significantly lighter weight than a cast wheel which requires greater mass due to its inherent porosity.
Q: What are the benefits of Center Line's rotary forged wheel vs. a cast wheel?
A: 1. WEIGHT: The most significant benefit is weight. For your front-wheel drive car, we manufacture 15" wheels weighing approximately 13 lbs. For your truck or SUV, we manufacture 20" wheels weighing approximately 23 lbs (the same weight as a 17" cast aluminum factory wheel!). See the next question for info on the benefits of a lightweight wheel.
2. POLISH: Due to the density of the grain structure, the polished forged wheel will maintain its luster for much longer than a polished cast wheel which is very porous.
Q: Why is the weight of wheels important?
A: Wheels are rotating mass/unsprung weight. Every 1 lb reduction in rotating mass is equivalent to an approximately 8 lb reduction in static weight. With lighter weight wheels, you will benefit from increased fuel savings, quicker braking, improved tire wear and better acceleration. Always ask about the weight of wheels. Your vehicle is not engineered for heavy wheels. Therefore, it will not perform well if you effectively put four anchors on it!
Q: What is the difference between a one-piece rotary forged wheel and a two-piece rotary forged wheel?
A: As the name suggests, our one-piece rotary forged wheel is formed in one-piece with no welding. After the billet of aluminum is rotary forged, it is then split-spun to form the rim - all out of the same piece of metal.

HAHAHA! Thanks, Robyn.
It was a long search over the past six months and I could not find the ones that made me want to "hit it" LOL...
But these CenterLines really do grab my heart. And they make Gina...Juicy, so they must be the ones. They will be darker in the Pearl Black, which is like Hyper-Black or Black-Chrome in other brands.
CenterLine is an awesome company. We rocked CenterLines on our Camaro and always wanted them for the BOP BOX.
