I don't know anything about which body style will be hitting to U.S., but I do know that I like the wheels on the bB.
There is allot of talk about the new bB coming or not coming to the U.S. I guess only Scion knows for sure.

Here is the inside scoop .. since I work for Scion .. I thought I'd stop the guessing. There is going to be no '07 xA & xB model. You will see new release series for the xA and the xB, you all know that. We will continue to sell current inventory through the new year. Production of the current xA and xB models will cease in December. Inventory will sell out by April, it is assumed. At that time Scion will launch and begin delivery of the all new Re-designed '08 xA & xB.
Previews of these models will debuted @ HIN in Miami in December.
So there you have it, now try and keep it a secret, I would love to be in a position where I could continue to feed you this info.

Thank you! Do you know when the new/last release series 4.0 xB will be out? And what features it will have? I would like to get one if its around the end of the year.

The last release series will come around Nov-Dec, its when the production of the current body styles will come to an end. At about the same time, HIN Miami, Dec 9th, I think, they will be unveiling the '08 US bodystyle replacement for the current xA and xB models. And from what I know, elements from the current bb will be included in the redesign, but the same truck is not coming to the US.
As I get more, you get more.

Yeah, it's for real
They will have a shorter version this is the extended one
Tons of rumors flying around about these, pretty much to sum it up the XA's will be the little guy & the XB will be the dodge van of the line. the TC will be the "Lexes" of the Scions
Also look for a possible name change

Well thats the price we pay for wanting more power. How else did you think they were going to fit a 2.4 under the hood of our current xB's. They have to be larger and stronger. So if you keep the relative same shapre but bigger, it becomes our worst nightmare, A MINIVAN.
Good news is, if it keeps that similar shape, and it may not, our xB's will go up up up in value .. :bash:
Remember, there were never any real spy shots of the bB concept, the japs keep tight lids on those, that may be a modified mule just to test the internal configuartions of the real model. Notice the dash ? So don't panic yet ..

As of late the internals have been tested in production based vehicles long before any new chassis has been devoloped.,
For example, the Ford GT 40 motor was tested for 3 years on the street hidden inside the F-150 lightning with plain license plates all over the country.
To build an extended chassis like this is very costly & presumed to be one of the new chassis, outter sheetmetal is an entire different game. What you can expect from sheetmetal is it being within 1 inch of what you see here. (again this is basic standards in the industry)
What I do here is the concept car is quite close to what they are going to build except for the fancy new front end, so the pimed out sides should stay.
But I have been wrong 90% of the time in the last 30 years & I was in that business :rofl2:

It's funny though .. some things have to change, like a longer front and in this case an extension @ the D pillar, but why did they have to mess with the door handles ? Those look like tC door handles don't they ? And that dash, kinda like the xA dash. Why do they do this to us .. :rofl2:

Because they can :rofl2:
Really. the handles may be a test to see if they can throw a lever at that distance reliably with the door flex, so this cold be a test for something entirely different not even for the XB.
The dash is most likely a "world" dash meaning that it's for all markets except the USA. We get a totally different package then the rest of the world in just about every model vehicle from all the companies.
Again only time will tell :)

This is only a US market redesign from what I understand. Japan already has the new bB, and as far as the rest of the world, well toyota builds a similar car through Dihatsu, for there use. So we are the special ones getting a whole new car, I believe.
okay....I'm pissed....why the F are they going to keep calling it the xB? ITS NO LONGER AN xB!!!!

Looks like I better buy a true xB in a few months while they still make the current body we all love or I won't be happy. If I knew for sure we (the U.S.) would get the car in the first pic I might wait, but if it will be the streched out looking thing I don't want any part of that

Tere is no doubt the current body style is dead, its been around way to long. Quite frankly, since its debut in the states car magazines and people alike have complained about the B's lack of power. Ergo, to fit a larger engine, major body changes had to be made. SO yeah, if you like what you see, get a 4.0 and sit back and laugh at what is coming next. The japanese version will not make it here because of the same reason, it did not get an engine upgrade.

Yeah I would like more power in the xB. My wife has a tC and that would make an awsome motor, but not if you have to sacrifice everything that makes a xB what it is. I like the idea of 35 mpg in the current xB, and a bigger motor will only lower that. Our tC's gets around 26 mpg combined driving. Still good but not 35 or better. Thanks for all the insight.
still pissed they are going to keep calling it the xB

New rumor hotline update ....
CONFIRMED : Production of the current xA, xB models will stop 12/06. At current sales pace we will be out of A's & B's by March. 2008 Scions will not be delivered until May for the xB, June for the xA. Some concerns are arising because we will be in a draught for some time with nothing more than tC's.
As I get more I will give more ..
Laterz ..
I have also heard from a very reliable source that it is not going to be the xB anymore. YAY!!!

The names are going to remain the same .. in fact Scion is trying to patent the xD as we speak. The Iconic box shape of the xB will remain the same, from what I have been told, the rear of the box will have more of a slant rather than the nearly square back it is now and the front end is almost dead on to the T2B concept. Also confirmed and I think I said it before, 2.4L plus no chance in hell the bB model is coming over.
In the future there will be the introduction of a 4th Scion in order to continuously introduce a new model every year. Thier goal is total polarity, they want people to love or hate these vehciles, so look for them to try and continue the design shock with each redesign.
I'll share more as I get more ..
Laterz
