Knoebels Kampout Sept 18th - 19th

Howdy all!!! Hey Tim ever set a date for the camp out yet?

September 11th and 12th @ Knoebels. talked to the campground offices yesterday and they have a whole block of campsites unreserved that would be perfect for us...

just wanted to put this out there so we have a concrete date. Im trying to get some corporate support for camping fees and possibly a show on the 12th.

im hoping to get together with our regional sometime soon...possibly tomorrow. id rather he introduce us to a dealer out there. that's the approach Dave took with the Syndicated show.

I have had quite a few who said they'd come, but those who say they'll come and those who actually make the trip can be 2 different things. I have 3 dealers to talk to but none are closer than 30 miles from Knoebels so im not holding out much hope. i have talked to the campground officials and they're willing to bend the rules a little. maybe we'll try to reserve a site on Sunday for the 11th.

If all else fails we'll just show up on the 11th with camping gear and see what spots are left.

Yes, it is still on, trying to finalize some details. I had to move the date back a week so it will be Sept 18 for the campout and the looking good for a show on the 19th.

if you get more interest ill be there. Just got a scion and would like to get more involved in this club. I work for Freedom Scion (which i know alfundo talked to) so if you need anything i could help push for it.

Hey Jake Anthony! :welcome1: definitely make plans to be there, itll be a great opportunity to meet us scikos and have a lot of fun. If Freedom gets behind this event the interest should really build. I asked them to help out with a show for the 19th and also to spot us a few campsites. hopefully i hear something back from them soon.

The closest dealerships are in williamsport, hazelton, or Selinsgrove(toyota only)

On another note i'll be there for at least some of the fun but since I live 5 mins away i won't be camping.

Which campground will you be at lake glory or the one next to the park.

Hazelton, Muncy and Hamburg were recommended, Ive contacted Freedom in Hamburg and am hoping theyll work with us.

We'll be staying at the campground in the park.

hey i talked to Freedom today. They said everything was submitted to Scion. They are just waiting for a response. I was told they normally Scion does half and that Freedom is willing to pick up some of the tab as well. I hope it all works out as good as it sounds.

cool beans...i heard that the dealer would normally pay for everything and then get reimbursed %75 from Scion

Bad news. Freedom cant support the event because Scion says it is too far away to do business(they have a map of what zip codes each dealer supports) and wont be any good for the dealer. But our event coordinator resubmitted the deal to try to get atleast a little support for us. So basically if we want Scion to get involved we need a closer dealer.

oh well....there arent any closer dealers, i think all 3 dealers were 30+ miles away.

Dorney doesn't have any pavilions available to the public unless the event is catered...

Since we are only staying one night we don't have a campsite reserved. Last I checked the Texas panhandle area was open. Gonna try and snag those spots.
