and I would like to chat with some people who've used this application before?
I'm computer savvy and physics-minded so I understand things easily and yadda-yadda.
Anyone got any tips? Anyone done an install? Anyone reading this?
Anyone?

DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TUNE THE CAR YOURSELF.
unless your a skilled and qualified dynometer/dynapack technician and understand A/F etc dont bother tuning it yourself, you will blow yourself up.
just take it to a qualified dynometer spot, have them tune it and then run it to see what your WHP is ...
kill2 birds with one stone.

The software is so easy to use - the only things you need to know is that you need a Serial port on your laptop (9-pin), or a USB-serial adapter ($18 shipped at directron.com - PM me for the link). If you use the USB adapter, you need to make sure to set it to COM1-COM5 based on whats avaliable.
If you need any help with the software (i.e. datalogging and comparing data charts), PM me - I'm running it on my Blue e-manage - I love it!
Yeah, don't tune the car yourself - it may seem easy at points, but if you fuck up once, it's over. Tuning a piggyback is so much different than a standalone - on a piggyback, you have to make adjustments based on how the ECU is going to interpret the new signal and make appropriate changes. With a standalone, you just tell it what you want it to do. Dyno shops are the perfect solution - get some hp numbers and get the car tuned at the same time - like trrbotc said - 2 birds with one stone.

Here's the situation, gentlemen. I understand that I shouldn't do it on my own and yadda-yadda, and I respect that. But I live in Indianapolis, man. I don't know of any decent shops with a dyno I'd trust running my car on, much less someone in this area who knows how to use the EMU. So what then? I'm not running boost and haven't gotten into the internals yet, so for now we're just talking about a few bolt-ons. Obviously I bought the Emanage before I needed it, but if I'm going to get the most out of the parts I buy, I figured I should optomize them. So what now?

Well given your situation, you're stuck.
If you absolutely have to do it yourself, there's a few things you need to know...
first, you're not boosted, so you won't see anymore than like a 3% gain...if that - depending on your mods.
second, you NEED a wideband - do not even try to tune your car without one - the wideband lets you verify your adjustments, so if you don't have one, you're tuning blind and that's a BIG mistake.
third - make the smallest adjustments possible at one time - move slowly - don't make quick decisions and tune in large increments, the end result is disaster.
fourth - find any resources you can on how to interpret airflow, a/f ratio, and injector duty cycle graphs. They make sense now, but when you need to know how and when to make adjustments, they turn into chinese.
I've been down your road...in fact I'm still trying to find a dyno shop. I really don't want to try it on my own, but I may be forced to...at least to tune my idle. Let us know how it goes - I'm interested.

I bought the Injen CAI and the Megan Exhaust and Header. Thank you! Finally someone agreed with me. I've been tuning for awhile, mostly other people's cars while I was in the Marines, but no one believed me that a UEGO wideband was essential. But yessir, I bought one right after I got the Emanage. I was under the impression that Greddy made an easy-to-use interface available for use with your laptop plugged into the Emanage that they updated all the time?

Yes but you'll need to get the support tool like Eric has.
You could also go for the Emanage Ultimate, which just plugs in using a USB cable.

Papi,
The closest real place for you is CFT (central Florida Turbo), it's in Orlando. Hands down one of the best tuners in the world. Ask for Rolo, he is certified on Greddy, Haltech, Microtech, Motec, AEM and so fourth.
And for the one wanting to tune his ride with just an exhaust and CIA and no power adder? You'r wasting your time. You will get no noticeable results. Except the magical one you feel in your seat as you drive and belive it did something.
But hey it's your money.

Then you should post it in the right section. Someone might actually see it.
And by the way good choice for going standalone. The E-ultimate is a piece of shit. I had one when I was poor and was a newbie just getting started and realized i'd never reach my goals with that.
