how do i remove the drive side axle from an 05 tc?

im trying to remove the transmission but im stuck at removing the driver side axle. i removed the 32mm spindle nut ans detached the lower suspension arm so the entire spindle has movement to swing out of the way. the outboard side is loose but doesnt have enough room to completely remove. i started prying the inboard end and it moved about 1/4" inch out and now i cant get it to move any more.

also, how do i slide the passenger side out of the way so i can drop the trans?

i have now removed the outboard side and the inboard wiggles but feels like there is something holding it in

They pop out, they have a small friction ring inside that holds them in place. you need to pry them a little but be carefull what you pry against, no aluminum stuff.
