The actually delete the radio cover when installing the nav system. It comes with special surround that has Scion etched on it to fill the hole properly and it sits flush with the rest of the dash.

Should be able to modify the mounting brackets, like all the other nav systems though. That would let you still use the door.
I would love one of these, if they weren't so ridiculously priced....

the nav is so wide that they have to take the door off to get it to fit right...

it is a sweet unit thou, when the car is parked and the ebrake is on you can watch DVD's

Yeah, I'm totally with you Ryano. The thing cost a bundle, but I really like the radio cover and having everything hidden when the car is off and I'm away from it.

Retails for around $2,100.00 Stacy, lame I know...:loser:

Ive worked for Scion for 3 years now and when I saw that NAV was coming out I was juiced until I saw the price tag!!!...ur best bet is to go aftermarket, same features way less money and u can still use the door...Just ground out the wire ur supposed to connect to the e brake so u can drive and watch, thats what i did!!!

 good! cause I think if I can afford that thing I can afford to change filters lol I wonder how many of those things they will sell before they realize it's over priced and that you can buy the same thing for a fraction of the cost after market?

Personally I'd wait, the price will come down or they will just disscontinue it. Don't get me wrong though, it is sooooo nice. I could see paying $1k in a heartbeat but over $2k, thats killing me!

Does the SNS have the same hook-up as the other scions (04+), i was wondering if i could just throw one in my XA, i already have an 07 TC stereo in it.

it should fit all the openings are the same size....and the hook ups might have to be changed...

the 2008 pioneer premium stereo fits and plugs into an 04/05 xA just fine.
and as for the SNS, looking at the install instructions you just need to make sure your tapping into the right wires off the ECU and find a good spot to mount the GPS antenna and you should be good to go.

and another interesting tidbit. the 6-disk scion HU works with the steering wheel controls. volume/track work like normal and the Mode button cycles through the disks too

its no problem, as soon as i saw scion had the navi unit i went digging for as much info on how it installs as possible.
from all i have read on the Navi's install and inferred from the other new HUs all the new 2008 head units should be able to work just fine in any of the scions.

i have yet to expirence anything but the 2008 prumium HU installed into an 04/05 xA and the six disc HU in a 07 tC, both with no problems and with the tC steering wheel controls still working perfect. but, IMO, that says a whole lot about what little scion did to the plug in connections.

Anyone know where I can find a gps antenna for the SNS 100? I bought the navigation system from someone off the internet but did not get the antenna. Thanks.

Local dealership will probably be your best bet.
