I like it, that completely changed the look of your xB.
Cheap AND it looks good!

I might do that to mine, since I have the same hubcaps and I run those in the winter months.

The paint i used is called plastidip, it is a spray rubberized paint. Nice thing is chip avoidance and it can be removed. The centers are actually black vinylI had cut to fit. Everything else was taped off. With taping it off, I did have to cut the seam between the tape and paint before removal. but they came out nice. and it can be reversed or redone. http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k10/ildcide_nampa/IMG_0698.jpg

Damn that turned out well, Any idea if I can use that same paint/plastic spray thing on my scion alloy's? Cause that seems like it would work great since I'm at college right now and don't really have the option of taking off the tires, prepping the actual wheel, then paint the whole thing.

Would it work if I just pulled the wheel off (keeping the tires on) and sprayed it on?

If it does, it'd be like I'm giving my wheels a protective coat against Cleveland's harsh roads, weather, and salt usage.

Yeah I def like the look of it. I used that same plastic dip paint on my hood. I just wipe it with surface prep and than sprayed. It came out great. I wanted to see how I woul like a flat black hood before I actually painted it and this was a great way. It peeled off and left no damaged to the paint. It was bit of a pain to peel off and yeah beleive you can paint the wheels with the tires still on with this. Just get some big index cards and put them around the rim to cover the tire. That method works great did it for my old wheels

I'm totally about the cheapo mods, they keep the look fresh without a big payout.

those look pretty cool, nice job. I have a set that i painted, took 3 hours to tape and then 10 minutes to paint but from a distance everybody in our chapter thought I had new rims, i call it my winter setup...

Wow 3 hours to tape all 4 hubcaps? Pretty original design though if you ask me.
