Today I installed a TRD rear sway bar on my freinds car, from start to finish it took me one hour with nothing but a 14mm socket, 14mm wrench, and a Metric Allen Wrench Set. The 2nd time I could probably do this in about half the time because I won't be such a moron.

Installation Instructions are decently clear, but here is a little easier way to understand:

1. Jack up the car, put it on jackstands
2. Take off driver side rear wheel
3. Unbolt 14mm stabilizer link nuts, as stated in instructions
- When i broke the nuts loose the whole assembly turned, use the 5mm (if i remember right) allen wrench in the head of the bolt to hold it in place, and use the 14mm wrench to take the nut the rest of the way off.
4. Unbolt C clamps on frame
5. Snake out swaybar
-This can be difficult, to make it easier you can drop the front of the axle back exhaust where it connects to the pipe ahead of it. Unbolt these two bolts, also 14mm, and take it out of the grommet. It will drop and the sway is easier to get out.
6. Take new sway bar, slide it into place in the car.
7. Take the rubber bushings, slit side towards the car, and put them in place with included lubricant. The proper place is outside the "rifts" in the swaybar.
8. Attach brakets over bushings, tighten down to specs
9. Attach the links, to specs, use the race setting, it's the only way to go.
10. Recheck everything
11. Reattach exhaust, wheel, and lower car

That's it, it's done, if you can get the "snake-ing" of the sway bar down it will go fast.

And the result:

SIMPLY AMAZING

This simply piece improved the handling more drastically than anything I have done to any other tC for the money.
I highly suggest this to anyone, lowered car or not, it is AMAZING!!!

Guys in CR, I can help you out with this if you want, just drop me a line.

the lack of wheel slip would be more a result of tires than the sway bar. you'll have a lot less body roll with the bar, but your traction is only as good as your tires ;)

that said, the trd bar is awesome. i <3 it.

Matt is right, you need good tires to take full advantage of the added traction

I didn't make it all the way to 245, i sacrificed a little width for style :P

Thanks for swinging by my thread KRD :) Between you and Matt it's nice to see some familiar faces. It doesn't seem like I can find anyone with a tC in my area that cares about performance/handling in the way that I do. Looks are okay too, just not what i care about for my daily driver anymore. I guess Lance has trained me too well to go for function. I guess im too much of an old man :P See you guys on YSTC

no need to take off wheel OR unbolt exhaust -- but since i put it on the diff. is nite and day. nothing like taking a curve at 90.

Correct you don't need to take off exhaust or the wheel. It just makes it easier for some people, that's why I put it in there. It's a little easier if you are having issues I found out though. I could lift the car very high because of my craptastic jack so that was the only way to get mine out :P
