theres a bunch of tech articles all over the internet on how to do it. I've heard the baking method is the best, but i just used some angled needle nose pliers and broke it out. Good luck though!

I saw someone once clear 8 sets of headlights in a couple hours time.

Took off the bumper, pulled out the light, got a screwdriver and a hammer and a pair of needle nosed pliers and broke 'em out. Worked perfectly.

Taking out that Orange or Amber reflector in your front Headlights

If you break them out, I'll personally kick your ass. Don't be lazy. Oh, and black 'em out while you've got 'em pulled apart. A heat gun is ideal, but I did mine in the oven and I had no problems.

What's wrong with breaking 'em out?

The guy I saw used a screwdriver to break 'em out (cleanly I might add), and then used the pliers to crunch it into pieces small enough to shake out.

I did the same this weekend. Worked great. On the first light the orange reflector broke in a perfect diagonal line length ways, whole thing came out in 4 perfect pieces.

is there any way to get the amber out of the Tc headlight without taking it apart?

so what's the problem with breaking them out mike? i've been mulling it over and i'm more inclined to break them out myself. i don't plan on blacking them out since i have chrome wheels but i'd really like to know your reasoning behind baking them before i start the project, probably this weekend while i install my train horn (http://www.scikotics.com/viewtopic.php?t=1975).

to me, it's not a matter of laziness but rather a fear of having condensation inside my headlights if i don't get them re-sealed properly.

any input would be appreciated.

His reasoning is that some people get lazy and don't get out every piece of amber. If you don't do that you can really tell when your lights are on.

I broke mine out and it looks nice. Only downfall is undoubtedly you'll probably end up scratching the chrome on the inside of the headlight a little bit but it's really not noticeable.
