I'm trying to find a way or find someone who can paint the spoiler of my scion the special edition blue of my 2010 scion tc. It's called speedway blue. Anyone know anyone or any place that can paint this color?

The spoiler is painted black. The dealership said that they can't paint anything that color, I don' t understand why but I am just trying to find a place that anyone thinks can do it. Worse case, I want to paint to spoiler matte black to match the accent decals and writing on the car. Since it is the special edition tc the dealerships say they don't paint it.

Your color code is "08P1" we have to send one out here to get painted cause scion only made a certain number of spoiler and they are all sold out.
Our paint shop here said $108 to paint it and all's they needed was the paint code.

So you are saying that I could send the spoiler off to this shop you are speaking of to get it painted to the 6.0 speedway blue color for the 2010 special edition scion and you can paint it that color there and send it back? Just attempting to clarify so I can weigh out my options.

Speedway Blue isn't a special color. It's an old color from other Toyota models. If the dealership is giving you the run around on trying to get something painted, then either go to another dealer, or a body shop. It's not like you're trying to buy one from them already painted.

I was told as well as from what I have seen, that this is a special version of the speedway blue for the special edition scion. It appears to be very different and darker, more metallic than the speedway blue that you see of the FJ cruiser or the pickup trucks toyota offers. I may be totally wrong but I am just going off of what I was told and what I have seen.

If it's the same paint code, it shouldn't be any different. If it is, can't be called the same color. Hmmmm....

Just looked it up. It's the same code for Toyotas, Scions, and Lexus, 08P1

That is what I thought too but the people at the dealership were insisting differently and wanted to charge me $600 because they would need to make the paint special for it. Either me and you are wrong or the dealership is retarded haha but I appreciate that help.

The FJ color is VooDoo Blue... Speedway is used on the Tacoma's and the color code is 08P1...

Go to a body shop and have them paint it cause it sounds like the dealership you are going to does not have a clue...

I work at a Scion Dealership here in MN and I'm a Scion Guru so I know a little more then most parts and service people...

Also like I said before we just came across this same problem here and our aftermarket company said all's the needed was the color code and they would take care of the rest...

We had this problem with the RS6 xB when they ran out of spoilers and we just sent one out to be painted...

Wow that was really helpful. The dealership said they could paint the spoiler the proper color but it would cost $600 to have it painted which I thought was a bit ridiculous. So This is basically my way of trying to find an alternate way to get it painted the "voodoo blue" at a cheaper price than what the dealership was charging.

VooDoo Blue is a Flat blue and not the color of the special edition. The special edition is Speedway Blue (08P1) which is the same color as the Tacoma's...

If they are saying it will cost you $600 then take your spoiler somewhere else to get it painted... If you dont have the spoiler yet then just ask for the replacement ped. spoiler which comes primed and take it to a bodyshop and have them paint it...

Just remember you need to get the upgraded gas struts for the hatch so it stay's up when the spoiler is on...

Well I'm picking up the car tomorrow. i think they put on a black spoiler because they didnt have any blue or plain primed ones. I figured that we would try to see if it looked good with the black accents on the special edition decals and accents on the car. If not, I would get it painted to match the special edition blue.
