So lately when I've been backing up, I was hearing a high pitched squeak coming from the front passenger side wheel. I'm not sure what it is, but it sounds pretty loud (i can hear it in the car with the windows up). Just tonight though, I was driving to the dumpster to take out the trash, and my windows and hatch were open... it was happening at slow speeds driving forward! Argh!

Any ideas? Nothing's loose as far as I could see... I tried wiggling stuff with the car down... I don't have time to jack it up.

This probably doesn't help your situation in any way but I was getting really obnoxious squeaking from my left rear strut. Sprayed a little wd40 on the bolt on top of the strut assembly sticking up from the trunk and it was good to go. Hope you can get your squeak fixed :)

I'm thinking it's my brakes now. Pads are probably pretty worn down.

its probably your brakes...when mine were out it was squeaking like crazy and i thought it was my suspension to but my brake pads were almost gone!

You already had to change your brakes? Wow.

I already ordered the replacement pads. Hopefully I'll be able to put them in on Sunday when I get home.

dont forget to have your rotor machined down... that drastically improves brake pad life. worn or slightly warped rotor can cause the pads to wear uneven .. :(

I'm not gonna bother with that right away. It's not a necessity. Most of the time the rotors are just fine.

I don't need rear brakes yet either. The car's so front-biased in the weight and braking that it's about a 2-1 brake replacement ratio for front/back.
