Well I was one of the lucky few to see a pre screen of the new IQ and tC last night. On display were a stock iQ, with small upgrades like wheels and Leather and a totally modifed, 5 axis style IQ in a beautiful dark gray color.
IQ first impressions;
It is a nice looking car in person, seeing it live did not make it any bigger ..lol I equate the rear passenger room to that of the Ford Mustang, the seats are there for moral support. I would simply stuff friends who refuse to pay for gas in the back.
IMO the vehicle looks more masculine than the IQ and definately has a more pronounced front end than the IQ.
Now add the body kit, suspension and 18" wheels and you have a really agressive looking little ride.
My only criticism is that for the first year or longer the IQ will only be available in automatic and since currently I am getting better gas mileage out of my xD than the IQ, I see no reason for me to jump into an IQ just yet.
It looks like a car that was built for a purpose and it will suit that purpose perfectly. It will not be the icon defining vehicle that the gen 1 xB was, but may prop up Scion sales long enough for them to get back into that Shock value type design.
I think this vehicles success will lie in the hands of the aftermarket world and how quickly they adopt it and parts for it. It definately has potential, especially in the realm of clever club names ... I can already smell;

and many more to come ...
CONS
While no one can confirm exact bolt patterns yet, I have learned that each model will have a unique offset, making wheels swaps impossible between the four models moving forward .... WAY TO GO SCION !! Epic fail ..
Why do I say that, because I would have loved to able to have tC owners sell their stock 18's to IQ owners who only get 15's.
