I need a no bullshit assessment on a whell fitment.

If this is you, please advise...............

Here is what I have currently have 5-Zigen GNPlus wheel 18x7.5 43ET

Tire I been running 215x35x18

I would loke to run a 225x40x18 Nitto NT01. Does someone have a clue if this will clear or am I machining a bunch of spacers at the shop.

This is going on my 2005 XB that I've been showing on here.

I need a real world answer.

Thanks XBG

I did the math on the tire size and the 225/40/18 tires should be 1.2 inches larger in diameter.

I don't know what drop you have, but I'd measure it and see if you have that much clearance in each wheel position (turned hard left, hard right and neutral)

I'm running a JIC Majic double adjustable coilover kit front and rear. So My adjustment is what ever I need it to be.

Hotchkis front and rear sway bars and energy Suspension.

The 40 side wall and 18" dia. don't concern me. What does is the 225 width over the 215 width. so I need to know if anyone can tell me if this will work.

Modifing is no concern, just need to know how to procede.

I'm pretty sure you'll be fine with the width... 215 is the stock tire width of the tc on a 7'' wide rim... so doing 225 on a 7.5 inch rim isn't a stretch at all.

You'd probably want to call the tire shop that you'd have mount them to double check... in the end, they are the ones that would be trying it.
