Good day all!

Just got the strup axle back exhaust and had my scuba tank removed. Its a bit louder then i wanted/expected. Was thinking that a high flow cat would tone down the sound. Anyone heard or know this for a fact? and if so do you have suggestions for a good one? Thanks in advance.

If your only running an axle-back, you already have 2 Cat's in the exhaust and I don't think adding another High-flow cat is going to do much.

You can see if Strup makes a silencer for their exhaust though.

Strup does make a silencer its about 35 bucks. =)

find a good resonator such as magnaflow or hush power and that will quiet the whole mess down. it will go in where you did the scuba tank delete pipe

what i think you should do is replace the stock cat in the mid-pipe with a high-flow cat, add a nice long resonator after that.... you would then have yourself your very own custom cat-back exhaust system. If your going to be adding a resonator into the exhaust... you might as well get some extra performance out of it as well.

i'm going to be developing a manifold to rear section exhaust this week for xB2s with a big fat muffler in the middle to keep noise quality in check...all in mandrel-bent 409ss sex

I currently have a TRD axle back, love it, and am adding a Weapon-r header and s-pipe. I know I'm removing a cat and am thinking of replacing the scuba tank with a high flow cat. There are differing opinions on whether or not the scuba is a resonator or resonator/cat. I'm interested in hearing opinions/facts anyone might have. I've heard of swapping the scuba with an "aero"? Is that just for sound? BTW I have an '08 xB. Thanx

Even a high flow cat will tone down the exhaust some, but will it be enough to where you want it? I do not know. Tell me a bit more about your setup and I can help point you in the right direction.

Basically all i have atm is the strup axle back exhaust.

I put the "scuba tank" back on atm because it was just too loud driving down the road, well the "droan" of the exhaust in the cab is what i mean to say.

Me and my gf took a trip to charlotte from the coast, 5 hr trip, and we were yelling at each other it seemed the whole trip..lol

You need more of a muffler and/or resonator in the exhaust.
