Ok.... So I have been thinking about modifying my car and adding some flava to it.
I have the series 2.0(yellow) with a few things done to it.

My first question:
What is your own opinion about modifying the doors?
-such as lamborghini doors on the front, or suicide doors on the back?

Second question:
What about a kit for the Gen 1 xB's?
-I am wanting to have a special modified kit on it to get rid of that wasted space with the plastic grills

Third question:
What is a good name brand exhaust that wont kill the budget, but still puts out a sweet sound?

Final question:
What is your own opinion about running LED's?
-especially under the car?

Thank you to whom ever responds.

First off, VERY nice choice on getting the RS2. It's my favorite release series.

What is your own opinion about modifying the doors?
-such as lamborghini doors on the front, or suicide doors on the back?
If the door is talelr than it is longer lambo doors look dumb in my opinion. Suicide look SICK on xB's.
Second question:
What about a kit for the Gen 1 xB's?
-I am wanting to have a special modified kit on it to get rid of that wasted space with the plastic grills
There are plenty of kits out there ranging from all sorts of prices. Are you wanting a full kit or a lip kit?
Third question:
What is a good name brand exhaust that wont kill the budget, but still puts out a sweet sound?
Strup.... enough said. It's a fairly inexpensive axleback that I think has the best deep sound that never gets that raspy/rice sound.
Final question:
What is your own opinion about running LED's?
-especially under the car?
Who doesn't run LED's these days. Just make sure it's a clean install and that you can't see the light source. I personally don't have underbodies, but I have my interior lit up like the 4th of july!

hope that helps. :mrg:

doesn't the rs2 have a dc sports exhaust?

It does have the sport exhaust.
I have had to replace it once because the tip came off of it....
So I purchased a second one, and the same thing happened to it, the tip came off.
There is no room to just put a tip, because it is welded on.

So I am looking for a much better set up with the exhaust.

What is your own opinion about modifying the doors?
Don't like them on the xB1
Second question:

They can be done right, there are a lot of kits out there, go look at your options!
Third question:
What is a good name brand exhaust that wont kill the budget, but still puts out a sweet sound?
I like Greddy. I'm hoping to pick up a greddy evo II exhaust for my 1st gen, i think they are pretty good.
Final question:
What is your own opinion about running LED's?
-especially under the car?
I actually like LEDs, under the car is fine! Like others said though, just make sure you do a quality job installing them!

I have the FABULOUS wing and I'm going to attempt a 48 inch string under the spioler wing working off the plate lights.

In red. I have already swapped out the plate bulbs for red led's.

Photos will be posted in I get this mod to fly.

BigETex,
1. I don't care much for lambo doors on the xB. They just look out of place, IMHO. But, if you're going to do it, at least do it right and do ALL 4 DOORS. It looks even more ridiculous if you only do the front 2 doors.
Suicide rear doors look absolutely sick, especially with shaved handles, but they do require quite a bit of work. I wouldn't undertake this project unless you REALLY know what you're doing. Otherwise, it may not come out as you'd hoped and you'll regret it. The hinge has to be significantly large in order to support the door since the door shape prevents using two hinges, which requires some cutting to fit properly. Also, if everything is not matched and lined up well, the door will not seal right and you will get leaks.
2. Body kits are a touchy subject. I have yet to see a full kit that fit properly straight out of the box. Most require some modification to lay straight. If you do go the route of a body kit, make SURE it is installed straight and proper. If it isn't it is going to look VERY BAD. Nothing looks worse than a poorly installed kit, IMO.
3. For exhaust, I'm going to agree with James. Strup is damn nice, especially for the price tag! If you don't want that ricer rasp, do NOT cut off the resonator.
4. LEDs are awesome! Their current draw is next to nothing, they can be VERY bright, they are easy to conceal, and you can do just about anything with them! I personally don't run any underbody since I'm on bags and you wouldn't see it most of the time anyway, but I do like the amazing capabilities of LED systems, especially things like the "Million Color" kits. Since you're in Houston, come hang around the North Houston crew and take a good look at Lorrie's (Rainbowflag) tC. Hers is an OUTSTANDING example of LEDs done right! She's got the "Million Color" kit underbody, interior, in the wheel wells, and lots of goodies under the hood! She and Garrett (FantasticG) have spent quite a bit of time getting everything set up properly on her car! You've got to check it out if you're thinking about anything related to LEDs!
