I got that bitch wired in today. I had to wire up a total of 10 wires, including power, ground, maf sensor, throttle position sensor, tach signal, 4 injector signals, and injector ground.

Took about an hour and a half taking my time...I wasn't in a hurry, and I wouldn't recommend rushing something like that. Car started up beautifully, no error codes, so I'm ready to start tuning.

It's wired so that I can tune with air-flow signal and I can also add fuel (can't trim fuel unless you have the ultimate.). Throttle position signal lets me tune the car to fix my rough idle, and let's me tune partial throttle with the support tool and my laptop. The support tool lets me tune air flow +50%, and I can add injectors up to 770cc (which is far more than any plans I have for this car).

I'm making the install write-up right now, and I'll have it posted for all to enjoy. If anyone has any questions about it, let me know - I'll be more than willing to help.

I do not have the MAP sensor yet, but it's on the list. The next thing I'm buying is the AEM UEGO wideband so I can verify my tune. After that, I'm going to go with the MAP upgrade, then injectors, then boost controller (undecided) so I can start upping the boost a little.

I'm stoked - I really want to start tuning this thing, but the cable GReddy sent me doesn't fit my laptop, so I gotta find one that does fit.

How does a USB cable not fit? Is it a serial cable? You might need to get a Serial to USB cable adapter.

As for the Boost Controller... how much do you want to spend? Manual boost controllers tend to have boost spikes then it'll settle down.

I was thinking manual boost controller.

And the USB part fits in the emanage, but the other end is a 9 pin female...my laptop has a 15 pin female...so they obviously don't work together. I found a sony-to-mac cable for $16, so I bought it. It has a male 9pin on one end and a male 15pin on the other, so I'll plug my emanage cable into that, and then plug that into my laptop - should work fine....otherwise I dunno what I'm gonna do.

I don't think that's it. 9 pin female connector = Serial Port. A serial port is a 9 Pin male connector on the back of your laptop. If your laptop doesn't have it, you need to get a Serial to USB adapter. That'll get you connected.

The 15 pin female connector on the back of your laptop is blue colored, right? That's VGA (Video) output.

Yeah - I realized that yesterday.

I priced a USB serial adapter at best buy - $37! for a 16" cable. Ridiculous.

I'm going to end up buying it online.
