We should get together before the MNTC car show if you don't have to work that weekend and we can take pictures then. I also want to take some pictures at night with all my cathodes and shit after I get them in...but my camera sucks. Know of any good locations for pictures though? I wanted to do pictures in like..alleys with fire escapes...or in front of graffitti/murals...shit like that.

thanks a lot, i had fun shootin pictures around campus that night. Hopefully when i get done rollin the fenders it'll go a little lower when i lay out.

im not gonna be in town until the 19th so it'll have to be after that. I got a friend who is a photography major comin to shoot my car, so maybe we can all get together and have a group shoot. All i know is lake hefner is a beautiful background.

Sho nuff. Lakes are nice. I want to take some pictures in some more "urban" settings too though.

Does your friend accept pizza and beer for his time? :rofl:

ok, so looks like no wiring party for me, no lake hefner pictures for me. I'm not gonna have my car until after the semester is over. I have to be back at school before they can get my car finished at the dealership so i said screw it. I'm leaving it with my buddies back here at home and let them finish the fiberglassing and such without hurry. So if someone wants to come pick me up, i'd be more than happy to hang out with you all, but until april 27th i will be without a car...

:dots: unfortunately its still at shop. to put it simply, my paint guy doesnt have the best time management skills and his people like to call in and not show up. my handles and side markers still arent shaved yet! :fu: hes had my carbon fiber hatch and spoiler for bout 2 weeks and hasnt installed them, still no new pass. side door that hes had since i brought it to him. he said he would have it all done by mid april, but everyday it looks like its getting pushed further and further back id be happy to get it back by my birthday now and thats may 8th.. :(

jon- the car is at Lewis Paint & Body on 71st in between Lynn lane and county line... i just talked to him this afternoon and he has made some progress, the new door is on, the doors are almost ready and hes workin on the rear bumper.. takin out the license plate box and smoothin the upper corners of the bumper where there used to be a bodyline. so shes comin along slowly, very slowly but surely :roll:

I was thinking about the mirrors on the fenders...I kinda wanted to do it to. I didn't think anyone else had 'em but I like the way they look! I really want pillar mounted spot lights like on cop cars... :guns:

The mirrors were an easy find. People are actually paying Bulletproof $300 + S&H for those "JDM" mirrors. I went on ebay, searched for NOS Fender Mirrors and came up with this ebay store a guy in the UK runs. He sells brand new MINI Spares brand mirrors and Triumph mirrors. I picked them up for $78 shipped to the US.

as far as i know they don't make a pillar light for an xb, and it would be near imposible for you to use one that's for a different aplication because of shaft length, brackets, and gaskets.. they are made specificly for the aplication and run near 200 for the light and a 100 for install at most shops....... also there is an ishue with install because when you drill through the pillar you are within a quarter of an inch from the glass........

Jon didn't drop a ton of money into it -- mainly because he and Dave did all of the fiberglassing and everything. As long as it took, it makes it sweeter since he built it.

I'm glad he isn't living in the garage anymore.... but he is out there now putting overlays on my lights... poor boy will never be finished.
