Has anyone ever heard of red anodized rims (or any type) that fade to pink over time? I don't really feel like riding on reds for a year then looking like a fool with pinks.

I've done alot of anodizing with aluminum over the years at Aerospace. Different places have different procedures for their anodizing. If your buying a quality wheel you'll be ok. If your buying some cheap piece of shit I.E. 120.00 rim I'd stay clear. Most manufactures powder coat for that reason. I've had fittings go from red to pink in about 6 mo. If the parts arn't acid etched properly or left in the tank for the right amount of time that will happen. You want rims, my suggestion: Volk, 5-zigen, Axis. All these guys are quality.
