Does anyone know if our spare tire has a PSI sensor in it? I know my Dad's Toyota does. The reason I'm asking is the wife's TC shows the Tire Pressure light on, even though I filled them up to the proper pressure.

I've never had to reset the light on my own TC. It always clears itself. I believe you only do that if you change tires with different pressure requirements than stock. I could be wrong though.

you re-set it if it goes on

Sorry Guys. I did check the manual. If you push the reset the button with 3 PSI that is where the light will come on in the future. Not a good idea! The light should go out by itself after tires are inflated to proper pressure. It says to contact the dealer if it still doesnt go out.

If you are still having problems with the light, this is the right solution.

Just pressing the reset light until it goes off doesn't fix the problem and the light will most likely come back on in a few miles. If you press the reset and hold it, the light will go off. Then press it again and the light will blink three times. It is then reset and won't come on unless there is a problem.

The light just came on last night. None of my tires look flat. Hope this isn't going to require a dealer visit.

Just cut the lead to the damn sensor -- If u check your tire pressure regularly then u wont have anything to worry about.

Everyone always panics about this...

HAVE YOU CALIBRATED YOUR TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM?

First - check and set your tires to the proper pressure when cold (haven't been driven on for 8+ hours). Then, turn your car on and press the TPMS button in the glove box and hold it for 5 seconds. The TPMS light on your dash will flash 3x. Now drive your car at 19 mph or over for more than one hour and the calibration will be done.
