I feel like an idiot for asking this question but here we go... my battery is totally dead (kids left the lights on) and i am trying to jump the car but when i hook up the jumper cables the alarm starts going off. How do i get the battery to charge without pissing off every neighbor in the hood? Is it as simple as pulling a fuse? Thanks in advance for any help.

When the alarm starts going off hit the unlock button on your key

Ummmmm wow that's new. You could also try turning the key in the door lock and try that. Other than that I'm not sure. I'd have to look at the manual but I think the alarm is tied into the same fuse as the ignition so if you pull the fuse you prolly won't be able to start the car but don't quote me on that

Take off your battery cables, connect the jumper cables to your dead battery and running vehicle, give it 10 or so mins, then reconnect your battery, it should have plenty of juice to start and clear the alarm.
