I have been talking about it for the longest time now and as of 8:30 am tomorrow morning I will be heading out to the body shop. Where they will be installing my full body kit to show quality and they will be doing a few little secret things while its there. You will have to wait til it comes back to find out about them.

This week I will be getting to know my local UPS driver and the USPS drivers as well being I am expecting multiple deliveries this week of all sorts of goodies..

This is only going to be part 1 of 2 visits. He will have my car for roughly 3-4 weeks and then in mid Aug. its going back in for phase 2. I am just giving you guys the heads up and will post pics as I get them.. I am soo happy that this is finally getting under way this project has been in the making for a while now. I have searched far and wide for the right body shop and I finally found it, so now the mayhem begins... *evil laugh*

Its the 8 pc Obsidian Wide Body kit. He said a week and a half to 2 weeks to prep the body and fit the kit, that doesnt include painting.

Yeah I have had the kit since close to winters end and been trying to get the money and time to get it all done finally its starting. I have pissed off a few of my sponsors because I havent gotten the ball rolling quicker and havent been at shows lately but WTH these things take time and finese right.

Seriously, man.... for the price of GOOD spacers, you can just buy the wheels.

Look in our sponsors section.... we have some wheel sponsors.... Axis is overdone IMO.

I was actually given a hook up on the spacers and to be honest yeah Axis is somewhat played out I agree but there isnt much out there that grabs me with wheels. I went to perfectly round 1 of our sponsors but I didnt like anything they had to offer. The Axis Cruz are the only ones I really like, I am still open to other wheels though, I mean I am still looking I havent settled on those you know.

The 2 biggest brands I see out there right now are Axis and Konig... Just keep that in mind. You're doing something different with this kit... so i'd go different with the wheels :)

Oh yeah.... on the honker huge discount list.... Rays wheels.... They make some GREAT wheels that are nice and wide and will go with a widebody nicely.

If there is one thing I hate are people who need to have the latest anything .. As far as wheels are concerned there are so many companies out there, pic something you like and run with it. They are the biggest statement you can make with your car, so choose wisely.

that is my main problem right there, I have seen soo many wheels and have thought "God those are rediculous" or viewed other members TCs and been like "I dont think that goes" where as others think its the sheeiit. I liked Axis Crux wheels because they are simple and very nice at the same time. I am on somewhat of a budget also, but at the same time I dont want people to be like WTF was he thinking with those wheels. Eventhough somebody will say that about something on my car no matter what there is always ahater or 2...

It wont be done yet :( we're not looking at a finish date before the 2nd week of Aug. and then it goes back in the shop in Sept again. :( but its all worth it. I have a show in FL in Oct. After that any show in TX I'll be there to show off and party with Liz

well i think that the best wheels for a widebody kit are the staggered look. I know axis has a bunch but can get pretty pricey. I was thinking about that kit and going like red on the bottom and my FM on top (two tone ftw) and my buddy was like DOOD U NEED SOME HRE'S OR VOLKS.


Ya ok i wanna spend a third the cost of my car on rims without the tires. KANX. Best deal around are the axis. Run about 2800 for staggered with tires. But u can probably get cheaper.

I was thinking axis too but peple are telling me they are too played out. So I started thinking about alternatives and I am really really liking the Racing Hart 721 or as a back up I like the 451.

Yeah I like HRE but I dont like HRE $$$.. They are way too expensive. There is a company not too far from that sells Stern wheels. They have a set of 19x8.5s I was looking at black with a chrome deep dish lip real hott looking

yea man their fucking sweet. They're realatively inexpensive compared to others but yeah i agree with you with HRES. But a good set of sterns or RH's would look good.


the only problem with RH's is that they are popular with scions so its almost like their factory. JMO THO
