Quick question, can someone tell me what the normal check engine light sequence is when turning the key to the ON position, not starting engine, just ON position for a 1st gen XB. Does the light flash a few times then shut off or does it stay on until you actually start the engine. Im trying to diagnose a problem with my ECM and right now when my key is in the ON position the check engine light stays on, but i remember in past vehicles ive owned it always flashed a couple times then shut off. Not sure what is normal for an XB. Thanks a bunch

Not trying to be mean but did you read the Owner's Manual

I dont have one as this was a used car when i bought it. But i will search the web for one and see if i can find one. Didnt think something like that would be in there, usually the owners manuals just tell you what to do when a check engine comes on.

Dont forget that the check engine light is only for emissions anD go to auto zone they check it for FREE!!!

Yes it stays on til you actually start the car. If is only in the on position it will be on...
