Request To Start Los Angeles Chapter of Scikotics

I would like to start this thread to create a chapter of the scikotics in the greater los angeles area.

there are like 1 in 8 people in la that have a scion so i know this is not going to be hard.

so here we go fellas !

I am very proud to say that I and my VMFIC Tony had our hands in getting this thing started. Tony and I met with Osiris and introduced him to Oscar at Scion Nights @ Knotts Scary Farm. Oscar was talking to Tony and I about joining Scikotics as he was getting tired of some things going on in his club.

I am very happy to see this come together. Osiris, if you need anything bud, please let me know. I hope to see you all at the AlphaSquad show on the 10th as Scikotics. If you need help with some stickers and/or some business cards, please let me know and I will get something done for everyone.

Hey guys, I know a section hasn't been set asside for you yet but this Saturday would be a great event for you guys to attend, especially since you're the newest chapter and relatively in the area.

Kern County, AV, and V are all converging for alphaSQUAD's show. Let us know ASAP so we can adjust accordingly.

i have about 20 + people that are ready to join, plus i have a secondary website and domain for the los angeles chapter of scikotics,

It has been a little hard to get a chapter going in Los Angeles because there are about 30 Scion car clubs already there. And with not having anyone there to recruit people, it has taken a while. But, we finally have some people ready to take on the task and it will get done.

Myself along with the other Regional, Jon, and Rob choose the HMFIC and VMFIC based on activity on and off the forums.

Chapter websites are cool to have but we recommend if you have a forum section, to have it set for a direct link to this Scikotics site. That way everyone is informed of what is going on in the chapter.

hello everyone.. i will like to start with: first stepping aside of being part of the directive of the chapter, who ever has more knowledge about directing an organization and been responsible should be the one. i had a car club in NYC with well over 150 members, i had bylaws, and 7 people had the direction of the club. now not every organization is the same.
I met Jon in Miami last December, so i decided to be part of his organization. quality is better than quantity. and this organization has a lot of quality people.

second i will like to present my services to any one having any kind of modification to their vehicle, from engine work, turbo, NOS, stereo and video system to fiberglass interior. i have 0ver 12 years of experience in all modification areas, hey i know my car is not so modified, but i had bad experience every time i had a vehicle of my own completely modified, it has been stolen. and the last one they got in my house and with guns in my head they made me give out my car.

And last; just like Thomas i also have a vinyl machine, and i can do any type of graphic and our logo...

Osiris - I'm glad to see you here with us and Thomas has told me good things about you. I'll be down this Saturday for the show and look forward to meeting you in person.....

Let concentrate on getting the minimum numbers signed up on the roll call so we can get the chapter built out :)

Hey Osiris, I just got done giving our chapter a whole new look for our flyers but would be more than happy to change the info on it if you'd like flyers for your chapter.

I Live Right in the middle of LOS Angeles.

technically it's East Los angeles, but i have all the freeway's less then 1 mile away from where im at ..

i'm about 10 minutes from downtown L.A. and im about 20 minutes from hollywood, which is where i work.

i'm about 20 minutes from pasadena as well, i used to work over there as well.

so like i said, im dead center right in the middle.

:) I'm pretty sure thats a good thing, i am going to this meeting today at the chevron, so ill see some of you guys there, once im there we can discuss a second meeting place, maybe this weekend ..

there is a spot about 4 blocks from my house, where there are barbeque pits and a single row of parking spaces, i'd like to reserve that for the next meeting.

definitely a good show place and a clean environment.

GREAT MEETUP TODAY @ the Chevron in Near Exposition Park, Pleased to say that there were 3 of us there having a small meet and greet, we discussed recruiting as well as other factors in really getting this los angeles chapter going.

proud to say i can see that this chapter will flourish if we do things right.

we are scheduled to meet again on sunday afternoon with some more people who will be signing up with scikotics for this chapter.

plans are force to begin recruiting on my side, i have about 20 people or so to hit up, they dont belong to any kind of crew so this shouldnt be hard at all.

:toast: the meeting today was i plus, i meet up with mike and oscar, guys this will be easy as soon we get the name on our vehicles, we also got some one here in L.A. for now that will be making the stickers for now until i get my machine working next week. I also had the oportunity to meet up with 2 more interest owners who will be going with us to the PASADENA show.

ps. OSCARRIDERSXB is king of new in surfing the net and posting. thats why i posted for him. also i have to let the other 2 guys about posting.. they were cool and also they got the logo on their vehicles.
