Anyone interested in going with me? Last year, Mark Liz and I did this and it was a blast. There are photographers that take photos of your car on the track and then there is a bunch of stuff to do once you park.

We could meet somewhere and drive in together. Last year there were a bunch of corvetes that got pulled aside and got to go through as a group... if we get enough scions we might get the same treatment.

tickets are availiable through the below website if the links above don't work.

This seems really cool. I might be down for this. Let me check with work though first. A Wednesday is kinda a random day lol.

I think that they do it on the wednesday to limit the number of people that will show up. most people go to carb day on friday but I think that this is more fun... though I have never been to carb day.

when I was there last time there were teams practicing their pit drills in the garage area... that was kind of cool to watch.

Well looks like work is giving me the day off, so I'll be there.

I just so happen to have some spare time on my hands and may be able to take Penny Girl for a spin around the track!

do I have to buy tickets online, or can I get them there?

Liz seems to remember them selling at the gate last year but I think that there is a limited number of tickets. I would order online just in case, especially since you are making a long drive.

okie dokie. Another question was you said they take pics of the cars as they drive around the track. How much roughly is it to get a printout of those?

The pictures depend on what you want.

they will give you a buisness card where you can go online and view the photos and order a few days after the event. you can download the images at low res for free I think, or you can pay to download them at hi-res. or you can order prints... lots of sizes and finishing options, you can get either loose photos or they will frame them. I think that you can even get mouse pads and coffee mugs. everything has a price listed.

the only thing that I remember spending money on was food and souveniers. some of the teams give away posters and stuff and there were a few drinking fountains. 20 bucks should cover silly stuff that iam not thinking about. if you do end up getting stuff from the gift shop... they take visa.

f you listed "will call" as your delivery method, you can pick your tickets up the week of the parade at the 500 Festival offices or on the morning of the parade at the corner of Michigan Street & Meridian Street. The 500 Festival offices are located in downtown Indianapolis at 21 Virginia Avenue.

I'm assuming this is pretty close nearby? I had to do will call on my ticket selection.

I think that if we meet at the Mikes at 8:30 we can go get in line from there. we will not be the first people there and we will have to wait in line no matter what time we get there, but the earlier we get there the closer we get to park to the pits.

see you there

10 it is. I have your ticket and I don't think that if Mitch and I go in we can come out and go back in again. I will call Mitch in the morning to make sure that he is aware of this.

Mitch if you see this and don't want a call, text me and I will see you at 10.
