Does torque damper really increase the performance?

It helps on preventing wheel hop so you can put more power to use on the ground, lessens on breaking stuff too(over time). Helps with the throttle response as the engine doesn't rock back as much.

but also realize all the rocking motion and torque has to go some where. Your car's body is going to be taking what ever you take away from the engine so keep that in mind. Most people i know that have one tend to leave it off unless going to the track. But I would also recommend polyurethane motor mounts.

yea..so basically its a little shock that keeps the enigne from moving to much when your on the gas;) Also, it braces or helps the engine stay placed better under high loads.Kinda like stiffer shocks for better handling during harder connering.

Here is why most people use one.
A. Change of clutch and fly-wheel to a more agressive clutch or unsprung hub.
B. An actual horsepower gain of 60 or hp in that car.
A torque dampner takes a load off of your stock engine mounts so they don't bust. It also helps by displacing that extra jerking you would feel in a 3.5 or unsprung hub clutch in first gear for launching.
If you dont have any of those upgrades don't bother with it. Also switching to an Energy Suspension kit, which may get mentioned here, unless you have said upgrades will make your ride feel even rougher. Energy Suspension kits are made from Delrin, (hard absorbable plastic) Which is designed to help take more abuse than stock motor mounts. However if you have these upgrades it's a good choice to do so. If not steer clear because if your a daily driver you will hate how it feels.
