i want to buy an exhaust system for my 200 tc. no engine mods yet i want it to be loud but not ricey, i have been looking at the greddy evo2 kit. but can a custom exhaust work just as well for a cheaper price, i have though about a straight through exhaust no cats, this isn't a problem for me because i live in Florida i don't have to get inspections. but i don't know how it would perform on a stock tc thanks tim

GReddy Evo II is kinda ricey - it's got a big coffee can style muffler... Plus it's expensive. Go for a custom straight pipe.

agency power is by far the best exhaust i've ever had on my car and i've had a hand full of exhaust. it is the best, deepest and the sexiest on the market.

go to speed-element.com. get a tsudo catback nice low and deep sound. sounds fucking awesome. i have one on my car and many ppl including my self love it. just go to youtube and type in tsudo n1 catback and go listen to a bunch of clips about them. i recommend then any many others do to. but ur money, ur decision. the catback is 260 with free shipping at speed-element. id say do it.

IMO the tsudo n1 catback's axelback section is ricey - it's angled and coffee can'ish. The midpipe is good and cheap though...

n1 sucks (NO OFFENSE)....go megan all the way...Megan is a little PRICEY not ricey...
i got a obx but i am switching to a custom exhaust soon obx is too raspy. megan is extremely loud but it so worth it when people look at you in aw
agency is sexy not matter what car it is on. search eBay for cheaper ones but you prlly wont find one....
but yea agency will mos def give you show and performance and the sound that is literally like music, only problem, ITS FUCKEN EXPENSIVE !

yea i agree agency is pretty good. it dont matter just look around until u find an exhaust that suits u everybody has there own opinions some ppl my like one thing and hate another and it would be opposite to someone else. so no one can tell u what to get just advice and i gave mine. do what i did. not that great of sound quality sometimes but hit up youtube and check out all dif kinds of exhaust until u find one that suits u. thats what u should. dont listen to anybody because they my like it and when u get it u may hate it and there goes 3 or 4 hundred bucks for something u dont like. i dont care if u run open headers if u like it thats u.

I like the HKS and I currenlty have the Injen. both sound real nice, bu they are like $300 and are only axle backs.
I will be switching to a 2.5" catback from http://www.turbo-mafia.com/ soon. Many choices of mufflers, sizes and full cat back (with or without resonators for you header guys) starting at $300. But they all have angled tips (which I love) but if you want a straight tip in the back, they don't do it.
Dezod.com has a good one too, but I like my big cannons, not the stock style!

GO headers and custom from s-pipe back, be sure to add xtra resonators.

TunerTrifecta
10-30-2007, 12:08 PM
Hey Kris, do you have the Ark exhaust? They've offered to sponsor me and I'm curious as to the sound and performance of it!

hey what do u think about putting a throttle body spacer on?
Why would you? I'm sorry, but that's just stupid. They're made for CARB'd engines, not Fuel Injected. It won't do anything for you except lighten your wallet and weigh down the car.
kris5597
10-31-2007, 02:06 PM
o well i read a couple of things about one and it says it gives it a lil more low end hp and better gas mileage
TunerTrifecta
10-31-2007, 03:20 PM
Nick, not trying to insult, but you're incorrect. Throttle body spacers area good way to add more air into the mix without modifying your intake plenum. It creates more volume in the throat of the TB.
Intake plenum spacers are another way to add volume. Same concept. My dad runs a TB spacer on his GN, and I ran an IP spacer on my Supra. It makes for a good gain in low end grunt, and is actually noticable on the "Butt-Dyno"
Krdshrk
10-31-2007, 03:51 PM
Again - That Grand National is a domestic, Carbureated car. If someone actually gets one and dyno tests it on a tC then i'll revise my opinion, but until then, "butt dyno" tells me nothing. Especially since it was a poopra, which has much more power.
TunerTrifecta
10-31-2007, 04:14 PM
Erm, the GN is SFI, not carbuerated. And domestic or import has about as much to do with it as the price of tea in china. A motor is a motor is a motor is a motor. They all do the same thing. HOW they do it may be different, but the essential concept is the same. It takes 3 things to make an engine run: Fuel, Air, Spark. Adding more of one usually (read: usually) results in a bigger bang, thus more power; by adding more volume to your intake tract, you're adding more air.
Yes, the poopra does have more power though. I miss it :(
Not trying to criticize or argue with you, just a dispute in opinion I guess.
Krdshrk
10-31-2007, 07:11 PM
Everything i've seen says that a TB Spacer doesn't do anything except for carb'd cars. Try dyno'ing your car with and without one and if there's a significant gain, i'll change my opinion :)

see things like this confuse me about things because two ppl who know what they are talking about say two dif things about something. ya know ima go to a jesus forum and ask him hell know what the right thing to do it lol. but thank u both for yalls opinion. can i have both of yalls cars now lol.
TunerTrifecta
11-01-2007, 11:31 AM
It isn't going to provide more torque overall, but it'll make the torque band start earlier. Now you've got me wanting to get one made and go dyno lol.

11-01-2007, 03:03 PM
shit i already got one on the way. lol cant wait to get it. ill let yall know what it does
