For those that get this head unit don't buy into the "special" chord for your ipod. Just connect it usb and your good to go! It'll charge it and you can control it with the head unit! Fuggin awesome!

cool find. just still in my personal opinion i think its really dumb to do this. i never understood why ppl would want to have a movie playing where they can view it while driving? when my n2 worked i would start the movie and then switch to the nav screen and just listen to the movie.
ppl are distracted enough as it is that they don't need to add one more thing to take their attention off the road.
sorry for the rant. just my $.02

Understand where your coming from. I just wanted my daughter to be able to watch a movie on trips. If you knew me as a person I'm really passionate about my driving. I may put on a stunt video or music dvd just to listen, not watch. One kewl feature on this unit is if you hit the "mode" button the screen shuts off. I find that very useful at night.
I just got this for my box, freaking amazing unit.

I heard of other doing that but I figured for a $5 relay and I don't have to do anything but turn it on sounded good to me! :mrg:

I got the 3100 unit yesterday, smaller screen but I got it for half the price so I dont care. I am installing it this weekend, and will def be doing this. And adding a ps2 to the mix, so my girlfriend can play while on our long road trips
