My battery keeps dying on me. 2x in the past 2 days. I charged it up friday, didn't drive too much yesterday, and when I went to my car this afternoon, it wouldn't start again.
Any ideas? This is the 2nd battery I'm on... My battery charger says my alternator's ok...

That's what I'm thinking of doing...
Do you think it could be something else? Too much heat cuz of the turbo? Could be affecting the battery? Maybe the alternator too?

i honestly dont kno anything about turbo...but i had the same prob with my first car..i kept buyin new batteries...so i went to autozone and got my alternator checked..and thats what the problem was...

Everything's Off. Trunk light is off. Interior lights are off... plus they're LED's so low power draw.

I could get real technical here ....
If you disconnect your negative & put a 1157 light bulb in line & it lights you have a short or getting feedback. Wiring issue most of the time as the bulb will back feed lighting itself.
Most likely you need a new alt, just have it checked at any Parts store NAPA, Autozone etc. They can throw an amprobe on it also to see if your pulling too many amps from your system causing the alt not to keep up
Now what the geekey version?:zip:

Yeah - I was told it COULD be parasitic loss... some wiring short somewhere. I'll check it out at the dealership (our sponsor) - they should be good to me :D

So... I took it to Lawrence Scion to get it checked out. It was the battery itself. They replaced it for me, even though I'm out of warranty :D (battery should have been good for a year. I've only had it for about 8 months).

I was getting ready to say that, if you can have 12v on the battery but 20cca which it wont allow the car to start..

get a Otima Battery from Autozone with the 4 wire warrenty... u might have a direct short somewhere. which that would suck

Do you have a remote start or aftermarket alarm on the vehicle?

Yep remote start and aftermarket alarm.
The dealership tested everything - alternator, parasitic loss, etc. It was apparently just the battery. That's the 2nd one that's gone on me.
