I need to get a few things for scion night and i dont have a huge buget, so i want to get as much as i can for the little bit of cash i have. For those of you that have seen my car, i have a LITTLE interior lighting and underbody (that will get changed soon) but im looking for more exterior and engine bay lighting. The show is on Oct. 25th so i need to do this quick.
I'm just looking for suggestions from people that know how the lights work, and good places to stash them. I'm pretty much goin' with red and white for now and i have a KILLERGLASS which is lit up red. So im thinking maybe i should do some WHITE or Mill color accents around the engine bay. What do you guys think?

Ok first let me start with..... White LEDS... dont do it... you dont see it just looks like a light...
Flex strips are your best friend... You buy the 9.5" one or a bit bigger and you can fit them everywhere....

I know this will sound like a stupid question.. but should i just go with red or should i do i multi-color? and there are like 8 different types of flex strips now! haha

I use single color flex strips in my engine bay and foot wells, they are bright as hell.

Heres all the types... http://www.oznium.com/flexible-led-strips
You said you wanted to stay cheap so Id go with these... Which are the ones I use anyways... http://www.oznium.com/led-flex-strips
I suggest staying with a single color to save on money. Unless you want the color changing effect..
If you wanted to go with white you can of course.. I just dont see the point for me personally..
Also http://www.oznium.com/prewired-leds make great little leds to hide in the door handle and the speaker grills
Same with these... http://www.oznium.com/prewired-superflux

is there a simple way to wire up the "cheap" one? I know you can't d them in sequence but i dont really want 10 wires hangin' everywhere.

I just run one wire... and power all of them off of that... they all connect same wire.. depending on where they are in car.

The Key Word is "Accent" Light up the areas you want to see.... like contrasting your killer glass LED.... But dont over do it or over flod the engine bay with light.... make the areas you want to pop do just that. Be creative and you can do some amazing things for the engine bay and make it look like a million bucks.... if ya know what I mean. If you need that guage cluster swapped to colored LEDs, let me know. The guys up here have seen my work and all.
Good luck and Good Light FTW!

Do you have a rad cover? those are good places to mount em... then in the fender pockets in the bay pointing out...
Get in there and take off the fabric peice in the back under the wiper area thats in the engine bay.. Pull it out.. mount some to it...
And stick some under your intake.
And Xetronic... hes gauges are already swapped... and hes in so cal

Id get one long one for the front by the radiator pointing at the engine or down... Then another long one for the back... and couple small ones for the side...
Interior Id go with the little bit longer ones for the foot wells

I might only add a little bit inside.. since i have the floor boards and back seat lit up.. just need a little fill in light now. But that sounds good for the engine bay.
