Does anyone have any ideas on the TRD options and Accessories that they will put out with the tC gen2?
I've been researching a bit on google and haven't found anything yet
What options would others like to see?

We have very limited amounts of information about this car at this point in time.
I'd like to see the ordinary options that are out there now, but +1 the TRD rims to 19" and maybe different fog lights that are more integrated rather than the fogs that look like they were an after-thought in the lower grille.
A tunable turbo option would be great as well of course... We've got to be able to run with those POS Neons and Cobalts...

Only accessories that have been leaked are all weather floor mats & LED driving lights.

I think Toyota needs to do a turbo option to keep the more performance oriented drivers from going to Mazda for a mazdaspeed3. I see far more mazdaspeed3's than I see SRT4s or Cobalt SS's.

They need LIGHTWEIGHT TRD 17s... Big rims are heavy and with as little power as we makewe don't need the big wheels to help with traction. Any one know what the bolt pattern will be? I doubt you can go much smaller because of the brake clearance.

I just wrote the Bill Wright toyota / scion manager to see if he can shead some light on this for us. Hopefully I hear something soon.

I say no. Toyota always seems to have trouble with optional boost. All-Trac Celica's and MR-2 GT's.
Oh, and the tC and Tundra SC's more recently

Eddies Scion managers replie....
There's going to be some good stuff. It will come standard with a 2.5 liter 180 hp 6spd manual or you can choose the 2.5 liter 180hp 6speed auto. Super charger may be available but they are not going to make a factory turbo. I got to see the car in person at the New York auto show and it is amazing and def worth it.

I spoke with Eddie too and if you have a modified tC already and you love it...then there's no need to trade it as compared to the mods you have, it may be a step down.
Scion reinvented the tC not so people would trade in their 1st Gen's, but to expand their horrizons just like they did with the 2nd Gen xB. I do, however, think Scion or Toyota should come out with a factory turbo so it's legal in Cali and we can get some mean power under our hoods.

Are superchargers illegal in California or is it just the fact that the emissions tests become more of a problem?

TRD Option to cut the roof and the rear off and replace it with something else :) hehe
TRD Exhaust would always be good, maybe talk with Kaminari or Razzi about having them help make a half way good looking TRD lip kit.. not that anyone would buy it when you could get other ones from Kaminari or Razzi or other brands for cheaper than the over priced TRD ones.... still options are good... better spoiler.... and I agree on different fogs.

I'd love a dual exhaust option and a rear bumper to compliment it well.
Dual exhaust is something I wish i had on my tC now haha

I'd love a center exhaust option, much like the currently existing TRD center exhaust on the RS 2nd Gen xB But what I'd really love to see is TRD come out with a dealership versioned turbo!

If I get a TC2 in the fall, it will get 17" wheels, and suspension work.
I second the negative on the heavy, oversized wheels. My 17's on my xA weighed 20 lbs/ea. The 15's on now, weigh 10lbs...
As the Scion Champion at Oakbrook Scion in Westmont, IL, I would expect basic stuff for accessories: intake, exhaust, mild suspension. Probably a lip kit eventually. Unfortunately, probably big, heavy wheels for the form over function folks...Hold your breath on a turbo...

Generally the wheels that come from the factory are pretty light weight. The stock 17" enki's on the tC1 only weigh 13lbs mounted.. I would probably keep the stock 18"s. As a matter of fact, I want a set to throw on my gen1.. lol.. I think they look sweet!!!

I disagree. They have to overbuild them for safety's sake.
Look on Tire Rack.com & you won't find any 13lb 17" wheels...
OZ Alleggerita's are about 1/2 & that's pretty light for a 17. 13lbs is light for a 15"

I think your just talking about the rim with no tire.. Plus look at the cost that your going to pay for some gramlights or OZ wheels... Comparatively they could have made them hella heavy, like american car manufacturers do...

Considering that a tire weighs 15-20 lbs (therefore impossible to have a tire AND wheel weigh less than 20 lbs...), yes I was talking about not just the rim, but the whole wheel, without a tire mounted on it.
My 15" WHEEL and (undersized)tire weigh about 30lbs, and you won't find much lighter than that.
here's a reference...

This says the TC wheel weighs about 19 lbs, which sounds realistic. Not light; not heavy.

Duals on a 4cyc? Seriously?
Yes dual exhaust on a large displacement 4 cyl... It gives a nice aggressive look and when it's done properly, there is no loss of performance...
Mazda does it, Nissan does it, so its obviously not as ridiculous-sounding as you make it out to be.

yup. I believe the Camry now has dual exhaust on the 4cyl. It's all for the look. Do you think the Camry is sportier now? ;-)

FYI the TRD 19" wheels will be approximately 2.5 pounds lighter (each) than the OEM 18" wheels...
