I think one of the first mods will be window tint for the front door windows. Just to simplify and keep costs down, I'm planning to just do the 20% on the doors to match the factory tint. So, any suggestions for places in STL? Would prefer a quality tint that I won't have to worry about turning purple or fading. Thanks,
AMT

I think 2dot does tint? Not for sure though? I need to tint mine as well. I think the legal limit in MO is 30% on the fronts just to let you know.

30% is the limit for the front windows. I don't think 2dot does window tint but he seems to do damn near everything lol We have a guy in St. Charles thats done tint for a few of us. He's cheap and does quality work. I've had mine for 1 1/2 - 2 years and its still looking good as the day he put it on. He does it out of his garage but just give him a call. I believe his business is just called Auto Tint and I think his # is 314-504-8468. Tell him we sent you

yeah aaron, go with this guy that matt just said. I went with him and my tints looks amazing. he did mine for cheap and is a REAL nice fellow. uhm and i thought legal tint was 35% +/- 3 which means it can be 32% max? that's what the cop told me when i got pulled over for it.
Btw the guy that lives in st. charles is name is Jim.

Do the cops really hassle over the tint? I had my focus in MO for six years with 20% all around and never was questioned about it. I was even pulled 3 times in that car and the tint was never mentioned.

For some reason with being in a Scion we get picked on a lot. Keep it around 30% and they shouldn't mess with you too bad.

Jim is a good guy aaron, go to him. he's prolly the cheapest with the best quality from what i know around here.
and yeah matt's right. u drive a scion, you get pulled over. but it doesn't help having a black tC with tinted tails and now a fatty exhaust and being a teenager blastin music past a cop. he pulled me over thinking i had illegal tints. proved that fucker wrong:rofl:

Bah, I guess I'll skip the tint for now then. I can always revisit after I pay for some other mods.

what else you got in mind? IMO, tints are always the best "first mod" to me because it gives you the look of a badass :flex:

Wheels and tires for sure but I just can't decide what I want. I love the look of 19s but I hear the ride for a daily driver is pretty harsh. I'm fine with 18s too but I just can't find a wheel that I'm 100% happy with.

I'm fine with my 19's. Just about anything lower profile than stock will feel a bit rougher. I worry more about pot holes and curbs than anything but have had no probs in 26k miles. ;) just check air pressure often and u should be good. Next time i see ya we'll go for spin and you can judge the ride yourself.

With the tint...the guy doesn't charge depending on the percentage of tint that you buy. LOL

That may of been cause most precincts don't uave tint meters. State are usually the only ones that hassle you about tint. Long as your 30% you should be golden. It's mostly limo tint that they cite you for or if your an ass to the officer and are under the legal limit.

Ok, I think I've decided on a set of wheels. These won't be the final wheels but they will allow me to get the steelies off and ride on something halfway decent looking while I continue to figure out what I really want.

AND hopefully I can get them before Asylum. They are relatively inexpensive so I should be okay to get them soon.

I don't think I'm going to touch this one. Sooooooooo many ways to take this but since it looks like we will be roomies, I'll take a hands off approach.
Actually, now that I think about, can I have a new roomie please. I'm not too sure about Eric. :?
