when i had my eg civic i drove her all year round with a cai everything good weather is not a factor then again my boy had one in his 98 ek and one day he drove threw a big puddle of water and suck up the water straight to his engine

I also had a CAI in my Galant and in the winter the car felt so much stronger man... it was really doing its job sucking colder air into the engine the only downside I see on the CAI is the puddles if you live in an area that is prone to flooding or high puddles you def dont want a cai you just asking for trub.... short rams are ok and serve they purpose only thing is that they suck warmer air in because they are closer to the engine.... I mean they both have pros and cons man its really personal preference honestly.....
but I am sure 1na the TC guys can chime in....

in my opinion a CAI is bette off. You can always take the tubing that goes through the fender off and make it a short ram if it floods alot or it winter like ( Like me). the only bad thing is getting it on and off the car sctarch free....
Just my .02 cents

I been having a TRD CAI for 2 years and have had no problem. Mine has the bypass so it keeps most of the water out. I have been through a lot of water b4 and nothing bad has happen. :mrblue:

HOLY crap, Gley! That's insane!
Yes - if you get a CAI, make sure you get a Bypass valve!

When I bought mine it came with the bypass. They had told me that from 08 nd up TRD were making it with that bypass.
