I'm pritty sure this is crap. I just kbb my car and it's still worth 17 so....that's just a crap chart to go by. Unless u have a ton of miles on it already then it might be accurate.

i did a kbb on mine the other day and with 30K after 2 yrs mine only lost 4K so i think this is false. that is only 18% after the first 2 yrs.

That's just a typo, it's supposed to be GMC. I could have sold my 07 Spec last year for $12-13K with 14998 miles on the odometer and the payoff was $11,000. Most resale value is lost when taken off the lot, it isn't until about 2 years of ownership when any loss is minimized and gain a bit of equity.

BTW, I seen an ad on YouTube for an RS5 tC preowned with about 2100 miles for sale in PA. I think the waterfall was painted red and the dash trim around the tach/speedo too. The rear TRD badge was stuck on the front grill. SMH.

OK kids, lets do a little critical thinking here. First of all, do you believe everything you read on the internet?

Second point, KBB is biased towards domestic cars. It's put out in the U.S., so it reports that the resale value of domestics are higher than they really are, and the opposite for foreigns. If you want proof, open any free used car dealer magazine, like Auto Trader, and look for the cars that the advertisers say are selling for less than the blue book value. You will see that it's always domestic cars, and never imports. The reason is simple:

IT'S A LIE!
I found this out the hard way when I tried to sell my Cavalier and the dealer told me that the blue book on the car is inflated. We decided to keep it until it was paid off.

Your car is worth what you can get for it, not what some jerk trying to influence the economy says it's worth. Have confidence in your decision to buy a good car, and ignore the BS!

Shaking My Head. vid here>>> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ySFpLzcQOb8 It's actually the little trim around the base for the auto that's red, vents and door trim red too. also another one with 4400K miles >>> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hOw-rTKJrsY This one has a new home>>> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M5fX2mXmF4o Found an RS 1.0 >>> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ux03ScoUVRk @Darth Clutch - And always look at what cars at a similar mileage to what you're selling and go from there. Lower mileage brings the value up along with keep the car condition up. There's so many factors in deciding a car's value that I'm not trying to get into that now, I have no car to sell or want to.

Yeah, well, we still have the Cavalier. We're just waiting to finish paying off my 2006 xB, and then we'll be looking into getting an iQ for the wife. For the moment, the Cavalier is sufficient, but neither of us wants to drive the little beast.
