I am finally looking to start preparing for boost down the road and want to be sure I am set once I buy my turbo. I want to be able to monitor what is going on in my engine so I want some good gauges.
My question is, are there any sites out there that list/show all of the different boost/AFR/EGT/etc. gauges available and offer reviews on them? When I try searching, I only find sites that offer 2-3 different gauge manufacturers.
I have been looking at Stewart Warner gauges, but want to see what else is out there and decide what would work best for my setup.

AEM Uego Wideband A/F is a widely accepted sensor/gauge combo. Autometer gauges are pretty much the standard, but some are more accurate than others. Go with the Autometer Cobalt series if you can.

Thats the thing though, I don't want the same gauges everyone else has. Plus, I don't like the look of the cobalts. That is why I am looking for a site where you can see a bunch of different manufacturers and what their gauges look like and how they perform so I can make my own decision.

Wanna be different? Go with all digital gauges!
AEM Uego A/F, AEM Digital Boost Gauge, AEM Oil Pressure Gauge.
Not cheap but very cool!

While I will probably be going with the AEM UEGO for a wideband, I don't like all the lights and stuff. It just doesn't go with the theme of my car. That is why I like the Stewart Warner gauges. Simple and easy to read and they don't scream "STEAL ME" like pretty electronic gauges in an A-pillar pod. haha

Good cuz I'm thinking of going all digital, myself ;)
Stewart Warner gauges should be fine.

I think I am going to get Stewart Warner boost/vac, EGT, and oil pressure and find somewhere more out of the way to mount the AEM UEGO.

To be honest, Air/Fuel, Boost, and Oil Pressure are the 3 most important gauges to monitor. Toss the EGT gauge somewhere else.

I am also going to be installing gauges soon. My wife and I decided to go with the defi blue racer gauges. http://www.defi-shop.com/product/br/br_top.html
I will be installing, pressure, temperature, volt and exhaust temperature. It's for my wife's daily driver, she probably isn't going to see boost ever. So, I won't get that boost gauge.

The thing I don't like about a majority of the gauges on the market is that they go up to 30psi or 2bar or higher. One bar is almost too high for 95% of the turbo application on Scions. I would rather get a gauge with a lower boost "redline" so that more of the gauge gets used and it is more accurate. That is why I am looking at the Stewart Warner 15psi vac/boost gauge.

 That's mine!
But that's Jay jay's car with a dozen gauges! He's sponsored by glowshift which is why he's got all those. I couldn't even figure out what 12 things you could possibly monitor!
the zeitronics unit is pretty sweet to.
If I didn't get AEM, I'd go with the defi gauges.

Can't figure out 12 things to monitor? I can figure out more than 12 lol
Boost
A/FR
Volt
Fuel Press
Oil Press
Oil Temp
Turbo temp
Pyrometer
Amp temp
IAT
Alky level
N20 level
N20 temp
Coolant temp
Coolant pressure level
Speed
RPM
Gas level
Current Draw in amperes
The list goes on but I'm tired of typing lol.
Anywho, Meaty, I really like your setup! How do you like the TruBoost? I almost bought one when I still had the Supra, but never got around to it. Sure as hell is a cool concept!

Ah! Nice list! I should have taken a closer look at exaclty which gauges he had when I saw it at HIN.
The true boost is alright. I like it cause it's a boost gague and controller in one. I did not want an electronic controller in my cubby, but this one does not have as manny options as say the greddy prospec II.
But it was cheap, too. And the tuners say it's a little difficult to configure with the scramble and spring and all that. But it's pretty good.
Only peaks a little above where it's set, like .5 psi.
If I could do it over, I'd probably just get a standard needle boos gague and the profec II.
Since I"m only running 5psi, it's alway in the negative numbers, and it goes to quicly for me to see it switch from vac to boost, where an analog needle would be obviouse.

How does the tru-boost compare to say a manual boost controller? I use the TurboXS Manual boost controller and I spike pretty bad (spikes to 9psi, drops back down to 6.5).

set at 5, it spikes to about 5.8. It's colder out now, so it has gone up to 6.2 once or twice. Not great, but i prefer it over a manual.
It's not great...i dunno if I would recomend it over a standalone electronic boost controller.
