I recently bought an 06 shadow mica xb and now need some new shoes for the summer, i would like some help on tire size, offset, camber (in the future) and even suggestions on what wheels to run. Wheel color preferably black, or red. Any help would be appreciated.

great example:

^^definitely look at a couple of rides (specially gen1's) per the bbsquad site. super clean rides w/flushness ftw.

so many different factors tie in to getting that proper stance..

offset, width of rim, tire size, spacers, camber, lowering of ride, etc...its almost like an art to master:swords: to get that right fitment, stance on ur ride.

i've drooled over many of those b's on the site, i just want to have a few people post what they're using to get the flushness. especially guys running smaller wheels like 15's

You need to think about width of the wheel, tire size and your suspension. Most of the bBsquad are running 0 to 15 offsets often with spacers as well.

Go on the site and look at the wheel fitment threads.

Your best bet is to find some 15" wheels that you like. To be flush and not run retarded amounts of spacers look into 15x8 - 15x10 wheels.

XXR has a few 15x8 +0 and +15 that are decent for the price. What are you planning on using suspension wise?

I was dreaming about getting some Tein lowering springs, if i can find some at a decent price for me. I would also be up to more suggestions and other brands. I've just heard alot about Tein and would prefer to run a big name company suspension. Lowering springs was about as far as i was gonna go for this summer. throughout this summer i'll be saving for other suspension goodies

i would recommend coil overs, so u can experiment with different height settings. more than likely thats the way i'll go as well.

if u got tha cash flow-air bag setup is nice..giving the flexibility of lowering and raising ur ride.

if u go the lowering spring route look at tanabe df210's. probably the lowest drop u'll get in a lowering spring (then again there was a co. i believe spy engineering-austin would know more on this, that had a set of springs that were lower than the df210's)

note-stickin with the lowering springs..also look at toyota echo front struts to pair up with the lowering springs-this drops the front end of ur car another 1/2".

Stay away from springs. if you want to be flush you won't be able to do it on just springs. Buy coilovers. Here's some guys from my crew WFC...

All the members on there post specs and pics so if you keep looking you should find some good ideas.
Good luck. If you still need help pm me. I love helping people get stanced.

yeah. springs wont get you "hella flush" thats for sure, get coils and proper wheels.
this is the wrong place to look for flush/stanced xbs IMO. there are some other places id deff look before here :) not many people on here are into stance and fitment

15x8 et0 has been known to be pretty good in the back, but up front id deff stay away from et0 since it pokes so much. 15-20 up front would be a good starting point.
if it was me i wouldnt get xxr's. everyone and their mother has them, try to find something more original and with better offsets :D

jahoppe50
06-01-2010, 12:46 PM
i've been trying to stay away from them. but the only other wheels that i like really are the konig candy's (which i cant even find) and bbs rs (which with my budget is impossible). and another problem i may have is running a a dampering setup is that i live in Indiana and snow gets pretty bad and i would prefer not plowing through snow during the winter months...

Nateee
06-01-2010, 02:59 PM
sooo....save up for wheels...lol

dampering setup? lol wut
get coilovers so in the winter you could raise it back up man.

Almost all those are on air.... Tony is the only one running coils.

Agreed... Might be a little harder to be original and run quality wheels on your budget.

Guessing you have never lived in a state with harsh winters. Our winters will kill coilovers the first season. If you decide on coils you will need to swap them for regular springs in the winter.

i couldnt remember the word coilovers lol. and tein calls one of their packages a dampering kit so thats where i got that. and has anyone seen anyone selling konig candy's? i've seen them in adds and cannot find any

thats what i was figuring i would do lol. i was planning on going back to stock during the winter months. stock wheels, tires, and springs.

well i started out with the lowring springs but that just wasent enuff for me didnt even have them a few months before i wanted to go way lower. 2 inches wasent enuff for me so now im an inch or an inch and a half off the ground. do all your reserch first and plan out what you want, it saves money belive me ive waisted a few hundred on parts not knowing what i wanted

good to know. well now i'm planning. i know i gotta run a wide wheel, or atleast thats what i would like to, but im having trouble finding any that are 8 or 9 inches wide. Could someone help me out?

You can pick them up almost anywhere since they are a current wheel from Konig. IMO they are not going to give you the look you want. Everything about them is super weak... 15x7.5 +30 will require retarded amounts of spacing front and rear to be anywhere near flush.

Figure out a budget and next time we meet up I can help you out. Also, try to pick what size, color and style wheels you would like.

Dont know if im late for this but i hang out with HFD in la and we have quite a tone of flush rides.the most common setup ive seen 15x8 with 15mm offset in front with a 195 50r15 tire.anything lower than that offset and you will poke.for the back if you wann run flush without camber I would say 15x8 with 5mm offset. Some people do run 0 offset in the back but to get it flash you have to run -3 camber.same thing with zero offset in the front. So safe bet ide say stay away from zero offset in front.it will be too much work to get it flush

wow... thanks man thats a huge help. i've heard of the Hella Fass Doo guys and everyone's got sick rides. what about 16 inch wheels? mind if u could grab me some numbers on those too? i'm kinda leaning towards something bigger that 15 because i think they look alot better when flush

willix231
06-13-2010, 01:05 PM
16 inch wheels should be the same as far as offset.the only thing that would have to change would be the tire size.just replace the r15 with r16 and you are good.down side though is some 16ich tires are hard to find.but put some work to it and dont rush and you will get what u want.just be prepared to do some work to avoid rubbing and the likes

jahoppe50
06-14-2010, 10:16 PM
So it would be a better idea to run 15's on a daily to avoid rubbing? And anyone have any tips on where to get some decent widened steelies?

you are gonna rub irrigardless of rim size if u are running flush.but with some work you can reduce it to a leavable amount of rubbing

jahoppe50
06-15-2010, 07:45 PM
Awesome. I've seen a few xb's with widened steelies that poke slightly and run camber which look amazing. and now i'm looking to order some widened steelies and would like to know the stock 06 xb back space and other specs i will need to order these wheels from diamond racing.

aalbertson3
06-15-2010, 08:52 PM
Make sure you read up on the steelies from DR. They are not exactly designed for the street. Some run them with success but others do not.

willix231
06-16-2010, 12:14 AM
I dont know about 13ich steelies but 15s work perfect if you have the money and time to have em cut and widened

jahoppe50
06-16-2010, 06:39 PM
It looks like on Diamond Racing's site that they produce their own wheels instead of taking my own stocks and cutting them and widening them.

aalbertson3
06-16-2010, 07:17 PM
Yes but their wheels are not designed for the streets. They are cheap racing wheels for dirt tracks. Like I said earlier... Some have had great experiences with them but others have not.

^ What he said... You can get almost any 15" XXR wheel package for around $400. Those DR widened steelies are going to run you $700 minimum plus another $150-200 in shipping. Them shits are HEAVY

If your going to exposed in a few weeks we can talk about wheels then.
