I recently installed my Sirius receiver to my Eclipse head unit and discovered that the magnetic base on the antenna doesn't stick to well to the glass roof of my tC. I have a large wing on the hatch which prevents me from placing it there. I put it next to my GPS antenna on my dash for now but I lose reception in heavily wooded areas like my neighborhood. Is there a glass mount type available that I could stick on the inside of the rear seat moon roof? A dealer near me that includes Sirius for free with every Scion uses a glass mount type over the rear view mirror but they wont tell me who makes it.

Did you try just gettin some double sided tape? I think that would be the cheapest way, and it would work just fine.

I see I forgot to mention I really don't want to mount it on the outside for asthetic and security reasons

You may lose signal more if you mount it to the glass. Apparently it uses the metal on the car to kind of boost the signal. The directions actually say for best result place a certain amount of space away from the edge.

you can put it on the front bumper crash bar, as long as it is under the plastic bumper you wont have any problems... thats where mine is

I'll have to check it out cause I don't have a stock bumper. I thought it has to be as high as possible? I thought it would work OK on the dash because the GPS antenna there doesn't have a problem. Maybe its because there are more GPS satellites than Sirius.

Here's what I did with mine - I have XM - same difference: Put it in FRONT of the stereo antenna on the back of the car, right where it's level (almost) with the ground. Then route the wiring through the seal (or under it - through is preferred) and then run it behind the panels, and under the door sills, all the way up to your receiver. It gives it a clean, yet discreet look and it doesn't cause any damage, and it also looks like it came stock with the car. I applied a LIGHT coat of color-match to it, and you don't even see it!
