And I have brand new component sets with 1 year warranties for as little as $80. And could probably order some that are even cheaper. I've been really impressed with Quantum. They're actually the tweeters I put in my Sable. They arent by any means ready to battle such Goliath's as JL, RockFos, or even Kicker, but for the money, they're really hard to beat.

I'm mainly just looking for something better than the stocks to help match the bass. I intend to get a 4 chan amp for the speakers but I may wait for that after I change out the hu and speakers.

to keep up with the subs, you're gonna need to step up the HU or get a 4 channel, cause replacing the speakers with any aftermarket speaker is going to help the clarity (POTENTIALLY) but it will not make it any louder cause your just putting the same wattage to it (I think the factory Scion decks are doin 12-14 watts)

I thought the factory was rated for like 180 or something. Eventually I will have the deck replaced, and an amp. When I said keep up I didn't necessarily mean loudness, mainly just need my mids changed as far as loudness.

yeah, 180 between 4 channels, which means 45 watts max to each channel, but max doesnt mean shit. RMS is the number to pay attention to. Most factory units do 9 or 10 to each channel, most aftermarket decks do between 14 and 17 watts to each channel. Most 4 channels do 35-60 depending on how much money you want to invest. RockFos has a muggafuckin beast 4 channel thats doing 200 RMS to each channel.

hey Houston. I talked to BJ and he said no JL dealer can price-match that. And it's not by choice either. He said Autosound had their JL priveliges suspended a few years ago because they dropped the price on a W7 down to $750 for a customer, then he went price shopping with that. JL are tight-asses about distribution and pricing. So I cant go below $800, and unless that site has some sort of fine print loophole, they're about to be sued by JL now for doing that. She said onlinecarstereo.com is not an authorized dealer, so there wont be any sort of manu. warranty with it, and more than likely is a refurb that they're trying to sell as new. Because if they're selling at those prices, they'd have to be an authorized dealer to get their cost on it as low as ours, and they're not, so they are either disguising themselves as an actual store, or its a refurb.

Good price on tint. I got mine done by a guy local for $130 including the front strip.

And yeah I would probly get a Hifonics amp, maybe. Depending on where I mounted it. The amp for the front speakers I am not too worried about showing off because I'd like to buy another amp like I have and run 1 to each sub, display it that way. less I did a 3 amp rack above the subs instead.. Otherwise it'd be hidden most likely.

They should be hex-shape, thats what majority of aftermarket wheel valve stem caps are....thats what they were on my momos and my Visceras, the only kind that I've seen that were any other shape was either big meaty looking chrome round ones that were on an 8 lug truck, and then of course the mexi ones autozone sells that have dice heads and skull heads and whatnot. They're all threaded the same, so wheel and vehicle dont really matter.

As far as getting my coils installed, they do seem easier than normal springs. Looking at my coilovers here, they came with no instructions unfortunately I don't think unless they are in the last coilover package that i didn't look through. I'll double check. But looking at them it seems you have to use the stock top mounts, so a spring compressor will be needed for the rear I think.

who tinted it originally?? Cause if we dont match it with the exact same tint, it'll look different, and I dont just mean percentage-wise. Llumar alone carries 4 different types of black 5%. I dont really know the difference aside from that Llumar Basic Black is their entry-level film (the closest thing to cheap shit that they're still willing to put the Llumar name and warranty on). Worst case scenario, we'll just strip both back pieces and redo the whole window. It takes as long to strip as it does to tint, so it's gotta be $100. Cause it's $50 to strip, $50 to tint. I might be able to knock it down to $80, but I'll have to talk to my tinter first. They like to wear their panties in a bunch.

yeah, Frankfort and Lex are much cheaper than Louisville and Cincy, and just as good of a job! Come down today if you have the time! We have the 3 most experienced tinters in the state working today.....BJ's been working in this business for 19 years, Frosty's been here 10 years, and Wells has been tinting windows for 12 years....we'll get it done right, and we use Llumar tint which is much better than all the other brands. Most tint fades to purple after just a year and a half to 2 years, Llumar lasts at least 5 years, and even then its covered under a lifetime warranty, so we'll replace it for free!

no. i will never do another step down. they are worthless. i meant rig it up in mine so you could hear what the sub sounds like. i can probably getcha a slightly used kenwood deck if you need one.

you could spend money on a high dollar one but you might as buy a deck if your gonna do that. i just dont like step downs. they sound horrible.

I would say wait to you get a deck to do your whole amp set up or if Josh trades with Ethan, maybe you could give your stock to Ethan, than you could get Josh's deck and give yours to Ethans. Josh's deck has the amp outputs for subs.

And yeah, a head unit does sound better than a stepdown....does a better job of filtering the low-pass. BUT out of all the stepdowns out there, the PAC unit we carry sounds much better than the other two brands I've heard in the past. *cough cough* SCOSCHE CAN LICK A HAIRY TAINT *cough cough*

If you jump up to the 3200UB you'll have 2 pairs of rca outs. 1 for front and 1 for rear/sub. This way you'll have a built in low pass before it hits your amp.

our cheapest CD player period is a Kenwood for $79....we charge $35 to install plus mounting kit/wiring harness. Our cheapest Pioneer I can do for $90, and our cheapest Alpine is $120 but I'm out of stock on it.

we have a couple used ones too. The best one is our $79 Kenwood, some kid came in here a couple months ago and stole the faceplate out of it. Which you can find on ebay for about $40. We want $25 for the unit itself. Still a brand new unit out of the board, just missing the faceplate. So you'd have $65 wrapped up in it total.
