View Full Version : When CV Joints Go Bad

As many of you may know, cv joints (front axles) tend to go bad & start making noise while turning & hitting the gas, a banging sound. When this happens it's time to replace them.

Now if you dont replace them this could happen to you..

At 100mph I lost the right cv joint in my Celica GT, was a very interesting wobble to happen at that speed, luckly they was little traffic on the road & I was able to control it, took all 3 lanes but saved the car from a crash.

Point of the story, if they start knockin, answer & replace them, it's not such a hard job to do.

Below pictures is what you call a catastrophic failure, why did I wait so long? I like to blow things up.

Great narrarating, but it's good info for those who by chance don't have them greased to keep them from getting so fugly. Thanks for the info. :up:
