Hey guys,

I am new to the forums so this is my first thread. I just recently ordered a new shift knob for my 06 tc. Everyone keeps saying to just unscrew the shift knob and install the new one, but when i unscrewed the original OBX shift knob, a giant screw is just staring at me. From all the posts and videos i've seen, i haven't seen this before. Is there something additional that i need to be taking apart or unscrewing? The new shift knob will not fit over the screw ofcourse, and the base that the screw is projecting out of is too thick for me to put the new knob on even if the screw wasn't there. I know I cant be the first to have this issue. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys!

sooooo...... it turns out that the screw was actually apart of the knob, and i guess it broke off the knob and was just jetting out. But, there was a really stubborn holder that i had to unscrew and that led to the knob i just took out. I'll try to be a little less retarted next time :-)
